This role is primarily responsible for maintaining the plant automation Operational Technology (OT) systems including but not limited to engineering, troubleshooting, maintenance, projects, and vendor management. OT system consists of control system devices (PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, etc.), server application (PI, historian, SQL, etc.) and field instruments (maintenance and calibration).

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and maintain plant automation, instrumentation, and controls OT infrastructure.
2. Troubleshoot and analyse automation related problems. Create permanent solution based on root cause analysis to eliminate plant downtime to a minimum.
3. Lead the site calibration programs as per global standard. Liaise with vendors and production team to maintain calibration schedules of all instruments to eliminate issues on safety, quality, production, and other risks due to calibration or instrumentation failure.
4. Develop a detailed understanding of automation systems in the plant including but not limited to Rockwell Logix PLCs (Compact Logix, Control Logix, etc.) PanelView, Wonderware ArchestrA & Intouch, Wonderware Historian, SQL database, ASI, EtherNet/IP, FTAC, Power Flex VFDs and any other control systems installed at site.
5. Ensure latest backups and crash recovery procedures are updated and tested to recover any OT assets (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, VFDs, Controllers etc) in case of a crash or machine failure.
6. Support any projects (OpEx/CaPex/global/etc.) as automation point of contact during design engineering, development, and commissioning to ensure smooth transaction after project handover.
7. Create and maintain all OT related documentation. Making sure good housekeeping is achieved.
8. Propose & implement minor modifications to systems, equipment, processes, and operations to improve safety, increase efficiency and achieve company goals.
9. Ensure that changes carried out on the automation systems that went through the change control process shall not compromise the safety, environmental or quality aspect.
10. Ensure automation systems comply with regulatory guidelines. Maintain the validated status of production equipment and associated control systems in accordance with company standard, departmental procedures, and SOPs.
11. Ensure automation related critical spares and parts are available for all PLC systems, VFDs and instruments.
12. Work closely with the Global Automation team to deliver compliance with Global Automation Standards.
13. Any other ad hoc tasks / assignment / projects related to OT / Automation as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/related Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Automation / Control System Engineer. Preferably in manufacturing plant.
• Experience in Allen-Bradley PLC & HMI, Wonderware InTouch / System Platform, communication protocols (Ethernet, ASI, Profibus, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Modbus, etc.).
• Familiarity with SQL, PI Server, Historian, OPC and other server application.
• Familiarity with general field instruments (pressure, temperature, flow transmitter, etc.).
• Familiarity with ATEX / Explosion proof standard.
• Additional qualification / trainings in automation OT would be preferred.
• Knowledge of safety system is preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure as individual and as part of the team to achieve numerous targets.
• Ability to manage internal and external stakeholder from multiple countries.
• Strong written and verbal communication and computer skills required.

• Perform design for manufacturability in all new projects.
• Provide PCB manufacturing technical advice to customers on their new projects.
• Perform feasibility studies and reviews for all new data received from customers.
• Adhoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering in Printed Wiring Board manufacturing environment
• Good communication, report writing and presentation skills
• Good analytical skill with ability to work independently
• Ability to communicate with all levels of staffs

The Safety Officer duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• Ensure all Statutory act & regulations, company safety rules & regulations and code of practice are implemented and complied by all staff.
• Review and recommend necessary changes regularly to the safety management system to keep it updated with the applicable local legislation.
• Conduct safety training related to the activity based on Safe Work Procedure / Risk Assessment.
• Manage Safety Audits on site.
• Review all risk assessments and risk management internally and externally.
• Conduct monthly WSH Committee Meeting and put up safety reports.
• Conduct monthly Mass Toolbox Meeting and participate in the Daily Toolbox Meeting.
• Enforce house rules on all stake holders and take action when necessary for noncompliance.
• Work closely with the project team to eliminate security, safety, health and environment hazards.
• Ensure legal compliance to all statutory safety and environmental regulations and timely submission of mandatory documents.
• Liaise with relevant authorities on matters pertaining to occupational safety and health.
• Advice Project Director/Manager in occupational safety and health.
• Inspection of site to ensure all facilities and equipment relevant to the maintenance of environmental health is in proper working condition.
• Manage incidents' investigations, recommend corrective actions and follow-up on the implementations and effectiveness of actions taken
• Review and maintain site's environmental, health and safety records
• Ensure PTW supporting documents are valid and in place for operational performance
• Other duties as assigned by the Departmental Manager.

Requirements:

• Registered WSHO and ECO
• Min 5 years of HDB/Commercial project experience required
• Minimum Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Occupational Health or other relevant discipline
