McConnell Dowell is looking to hire a Project Engineer for our civil marine works project in East of Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting Senior Project Engineer and Construction Manager with daily site activities.
• Monitoring/reporting site progress (direct employees and subcontract works).
• Formulation of procedures for construction activities.
• Plan the works and develop look-a-head programmes.
• Liaise with the design coordination team to resolve technical discrepancies including preparing and submitting technical queries and meeting with design consultants as required.
• Manage the schedule of shop drawings and monitor the output of drafters.
• Plan the equipment and material requirements and raise purchase requisitions as required.
• Mentor and manage Site Engineers assigned to your zone/works areas.
• Review the authority approvals required ahead of the works and ensure submissions are made such that the clearances can be achieved before works start.

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Test Engineer to join our team and take charge of the end-to-end testing activities for our integrated e-payment system. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our systems through meticulous test planning, execution, and automation. Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning and Analysis: Develop comprehensive test plans by analysing business and system requirements.
• Test Environment Preparation: Set up and maintain the test environment, ensuring it meets all necessary specifications.
• Test Case Development: Design and develop detailed test cases to cover all aspects of the system.
• Test Execution: Execute test procedures and meticulously document results.
• Automation and Performance Tuning: Automate test solutions using scripting or programming languages and optimize system performance.
• Traceability and Gap Analysis: Create traceability matrices to ensure all requirements are met, identify gaps, and address them effectively.
• Defect Management: Log, track, and ensure the closure of defects, performing root cause analysis for production and user acceptance issues.
• Stakeholder Communication: Conduct test reviews and communicate findings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Documentation: Develop comprehensive design documents and user manuals for test automation solutions, providing clear instructions to testers and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Education: Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Engineering.
• Technical Expertise: Knowledge of testing and developing test automation solutions for devices (UI-based or embedded) and back-office systems. Familiarity with the full system development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Testing Phases Knowledge: Understanding of diverse test execution phases, including Agile testing, System Testing, System Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing.

• Independently handle project proposals for analyzer system integration, following standard procedures
• Review project inquiries, technical specifications, and technical bid evaluations (TBE) from customers, and generate competitive technical and commercial proposals
• Manage and support technical clarifications and respond to customer and supplier queries
• Adhere to ISO procedures for sales and proposals

JOB CONTENT (PRIMARY & SECONDARY FUNCTIONS):

It is the responsibility of the FAEs to carry out the following:

Primary Functions

• Represent Future’s interest at all technical levels and offer a level of support required by Future’s customers to ensure that Future’s customers clearly identify Future with the projects undertaken, thus increasing the probability of Future winning the identified opportunity.
• FAEs are required to work together with Future’s Sales, Product Marketing Department and Suppliers, to establish which products are best suited to Future’s customer base and also which target markets to address. Having identified such products and markets, the FAEs are to promote by way of application examples, demonstration and/or design-in, putting the identified products to Future’s customers.
• Maintain accurate customer information on the Technical database (CRM), allowing all opportunities to be tracked to a successful conclusion.
• Perform associative selling by designing in as many devices as possible for the particular design; so as to capture the most component within the BOM list.

Secondary Functions

• Assist in the maintenance of manufacturer’s design registration schemes, thus helping to secure Future’s commercial position within its customer base and ensuring eligibility for any design incentive bonuses.
• Train Future’s sales force and product marketing to provide technical product & application knowledge.

CREDENTIALS:

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum requirements: Bachelor of Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Possesses in-depth knowledge and technical competency with devices in the specific group of responsibility (Analog & Linear, Micro-controller, Power Discreet & Design).

EXPERIENCES

• At least 2 years design experience with products in his/her product specialization category.

• Possesses strong Communication and Presentation Skills, including the ability to present information and ideas in a confident fashion to the customer’s engineers and technical managers.
• Displays good Commercial Awareness and Understanding of the business impact on how designs affect customers' profitability.
