As a Sales Engineer, you will have a chance to work in a highly professional and fast-paced office an average of two days a week, while three days a week they visit manufacturers in a sales territory so that you can consult face-to-face on solving customers’ critical quality control, reliability, and research or design applications.

Extensive training is continuously provided to allow you to become an expert on the products, solving applications, pro-active sales process, and conducting successful sales consultations.

• Attend product and application training in the Singapore’s office (approximately 3 to 6 months) while being remunerated for the training duration
• Develop a thorough understanding of the product offerings and applications through classes, seminars, and on-the-job training
• Provide technical consultation and service to customers to help solve their applications using Keyence’s products in a variety of industries, selecting and promoting the proper company products/services for their application
• Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility in adapting to the expectations and the challenges customers present
• Respond promptly and efficiently to customer requests
• Secure new customers consistently and efficiently
• Coordinate account strategy and contribute to territory’s strategic plan
• Successfully implement new product-launch strategies
• Deliver growth in market share within assigned sales territory
• Coordinate off-site seminars and trade shows as needed

REQUIREMENTS

• Preferably Degree in engineering field. Candidates with a business-related Degree would also be considered
• Interest and aptitude to master highly technical products
• Interest in working in manufacturing environments
• Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills
• Ability to listen and pro-actively react to customer questions and requests
• Goal-oriented and extremely hard working
• Desire to better yourself through our intensive training, mentorship, engaged management, and pro-active, process-oriented sales approach
• Willingness to travel 60% of the time, including the possibility of overnight travel
• Preferred to have VALID Class 3 Licence

Responsibilities:

• To create process control router for all machining and Assembly & Test (A&T) process associates with WI products
• To create, setup and manage Bill of Material (BOM) on WI products & Rental orders
• To provide technical advices to Sale, Quality and Supply Chain team regarding to WI products
• To support A&T team on daily technical operational issues and troubleshooting
• To communicate with UK Design Engineering Team for product design and technical related issues
• Always look for opportunities of improvement to complete CI project with DMAIC knowledge.
• Other duties as assigned from time-to-time such as item codes creation, technical reports, etc.

• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings. (essential)

• Experience in hand-on Assembly and Test operation for Oil and Gas products (essential)
