We are currently looking for a Materials Planning engineer for an operations support project to join us on a permanent role to help us deliver various projects in the Life Sciences Industry.
Key Attributes/Responsibilities
· Collaborate with internal customers from Materials Management/Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Technology, and Quality sectors to oversee all site procedures concerning the lifecycle of production master data.
· Act as a data steward, engaging with content owners across various departments such as Manufacturing, Quality, and MSATs, to ensure the delivery of high-quality data to business users consistently.
· Guarantee the availability of materials/parts within designated categories by overseeing materials planning and executing replenishment orders to meet planned requirements for site cGMP production, maintenance plans, tech-transfers, and projects.
· Conduct inventory analysis to prevent and minimize excesses and shortages.
· Assist in the new materials creation process to ensure timely establishment of accurate materials planning master data and creation of new materials numbers to meet production and new tech-transfer requirements.
· Monitor inventory status for assigned categories and collaborate closely with the Procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials.
· Support Procurement in requesting quotations (RFQ) for MRO parts from suppliers as needed.
· Manage transactions related to order conversion, purchase order management, order changes, receipt of MRO materials, and return management in collaboration with or support from Procurement.
· Provide impact assessments to internal stakeholders in case defined delivery lead times are not met.
· Ensure compliance with processes including Delegation of Authority and ICFR.
· Support timely assessment of Vendor Initiated Change, Change request, and assessments required for materials within assigned categories.
· Manage PO issuance and order management in the system based on supplier confirmations/updates on quantity and delivery dates.
· Conduct initial impact assessments for the production and facilities management team due to shortages or delays in PO deliveries and escalate to the buyer if necessary.
· Assist in compiling details and performing analysis on reporting for assigned categories.
· Participate in Root Cause Analysis processes and ensure effective implementation of corrective actions.
