Job responsibilities
Oversee the financial accounting, reporting, and issuance of accurate financial statements for the company’s Singapore business entities.
Establish and continuously improve the accounting system and financial processes to align with local regulatory requirements and business operations.
Manage financial aspects of import and export transactions, monitor overseas settlement activities, and stay updated on foreign exchange regulations and market dynamics.
Prepare, organize, and provide audit data, ensuring compliance with statutory and corporate requirements.
Act as a key financial advisor to management, offering insights and support for strategic decision-making, especially during the setup and expansion phase of the business.
Support the development of local budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to ensure sustainable growth.
Handle additional finance-related responsibilities as assigned by the leadership team.
Requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA/CIMA) is preferred.
Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English and Mandarin to communicate effectively with local and overseas stakeholders in Singapore and other regions.
Accounting Standards and Regulations: Familiarity with international accounting standards, tax regulations, and audit policies. Strong understanding of local Singapore accounting and tax standards.
Industry Experience: Prior experience in large-scale retail, international business settlements, or cross-border e-commerce is highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Proficient in financial and accounting software and standard office tools.
Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and a high level of responsibility and professional ethics.
Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic, startup environment with evolving priorities.
