About the Role
In this strategic leadership role, reporting to the Group CFO of Accuron, with a matrix-functional reporting line to co-MDS based in Germany and Singapore, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing financial stewardship and strategic direction to our company. The responsibilities include but are not limited to establishing relevant policies (aligned to those stipulated by Accuron), ensuring compliance with internal controls and standard operating procedures/policies, providing oversight for reporting to Accuron, coaching the finance leads in the subsidiaries of AIT, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Provide financial stewardship to safeguard assets from misappropriation and ensure compliance with relevant local and international financial reporting standards and regulations.
- Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support decision-making, investment strategies and business planning processes.
- Oversee the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and transparency in financial reporting and analysis.
- Manage the company’s capital structure, liquidity, and cash flow to optimise financial performance and support growth initiatives while adhering to corporate financial policies and guidelines.
- Oversee risk management activities, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with the parent company in Singapore on implementing HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
- Support the management in the performance management process, including goal setting, evaluations, and feedback.
- Oversee recruitment and professional development initiatives and benefits administration.
- Oversee Group corporate services, including Legal and IT.
- Develop and mentor the finance teams within the AIT, providing leadership, guidance, and professional development opportunities to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Provide support on investor relations and external communications, representing the company to investors, analysts, and other stakeholders to maintain transparency and build trust.
- Collaborate with the parent company’s legal and compliance teams to uphold governance standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Proven track record in senior finance leadership roles.
- Responsible for the full spectrum of the finance function, including but not limited to merger & acquisition activities, post-merger integration, financial management, forecasting, budgeting, monthly reporting, strategy development/execution, enterprise risk management, implementation of adequate internal controls, statutory audits and tax planning/structuring etc.;
- In charge of prompt rollout, implementation, and monitoring to ensure compliance across all AIT entities and the initiatives/policies/procedures cascaded by the Accuron group.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles, German and relevant international accounting standards, regulatory requirements, etc.
- Motivated self-starter with a high emotional quotient.
- Prior experience with a matrix reporting structure would be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Eloquent in clearly articulating and presenting to the board members at AIT meetings.
- Preparation of adequate board papers as justifications for matters necessitating prior approval in accordance with the applicable financial authorization limits.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
