about the job
- Examine credit requests for various credit products across APAC and Europe ensuring adherence to credit strategies, regulatory frameworks and internal policies.
- Approve, ratify or recommend credit requests within delegated authority balancing risk awareness with potential regulatory and legal implications.
- Stay updated on local credit related regulations and ensure compliance by regularly updating credit manuals and directives.
- Review and approve rectification plans for credit violations ensuring adherence to portfolio covenants and special credit terms.
- Provide training to local credit teams and ensure the implementation of updated directives in alignment with group standards.
- Continuously update knowledge of regional economic, political and financial market developments.
skills and experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Business or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a credit risk role preferably in the private banking sector.
- Strong ability to analyze financial data and assess risks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present findings and recommendations clearly.
