Job Summary
As Finance Director, Tax, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's tax strategy, planning, compliance, and reporting. This role requires a deep understanding of tax regulations, effective management skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring legal compliance.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Tax Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives, including but not limited to proposing and implementing a corporate structure internationally.
- Identify opportunities for tax planning to optimize the organization's tax position.
Tax Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all international and local tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
Tax Reporting and Documentation:
- Oversee the preparation and filing of all required tax reports and documentation.
- Maintain detailed documentation to support tax positions and filings.
Tax Audits:
- Manage relationships with tax authorities and external auditors.
- Represent the company in tax audits.
Transfer Pricing:
- Develop and implement transfer pricing policies to ensure compliance and minimize tax risks.
- Monitor and document intercompany transactions for transfer pricing compliance.
Tax Research and Legislation:
- Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Conduct tax research to provide guidance on the impact of legislative changes.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Build, lead, and mentor the tax team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Provide guidance on complex tax issues and foster professional development.
Must-have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, with a specialization in Tax.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in tax, with a focus on strategic tax planning and compliance.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Good to have
- Prior work experience in telecommunications
- Knowledge of eSIM and GSMA-related technologies and services
