We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Assistant Manager/Manager to join our Finance team in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment. Role:
The Finance team oversees our financial accounts and fosters good corporate governance and stewardship through adherence to the industry’s best practices and statutory requirements and works with Senior Management to deliver optimal budget planning and utilisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle full spectrum of accounts (Full set)
- Bookkeeping / accounting entry into the accounting system.
- Keep track of all monthly payments and expenditures, including purchase orders and direct invoices.
- Verify accounting documents to ensure compliance with organisation policies and approved budgets.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, and provide detailed financial analysis to ensure transparency and support decision-making.
- Support financial planning and budget creation to drive the organisation’s financial health and strategic goals.
- Assist in preparing annual audit and accounting system upgrades.
- Perform general administrative functions including sourcing and purchasing.
- Provide administrative support to fund raising activities including grant submission.
- Manage donation in Donor Management System for Finance & IRAS submission.
- Undertake any other duties as needed to support organisation goals.
Experience Skills and Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting with 3 – 5 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of social service sector financial policies and procedures would be an advantage.
- Proficient in accounting software (MYOB) and MS applications.
- Demonstrated basic proficiency in written and verbal communications skills in English and Chinese, which is highly valued due to our engagement with stakeholders from various ethnic backgrounds and predominantly Mandarin-speaking.
- Meticulous with an eye for details.
- Good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
