1. Deal sourcing and investment facilitation
- Obtain allocations to quality Web3 projects that have upside potential
- Facilitate the investment through thorough due diligence, and present investment case to the Investment Committee
- Manage portfolio and exposure of invested companies, monitoring their progress and return. Engage with founders of Web3 projects regularly to keep abreast with the business, providing updates to investors and Management.
- Engage with counterparties closely (eg. exchanges) to get insights into listing opportunities, as well as to manage our positions, mitigating counterparty risk
2. Investment Analysis, Research and Investor Education
- Perform research on the market landscape, identifying the opportunities and risks that will impact the Company’s investments or potential investments.
- Share with investors and Management the findings and formulate a compelling narrative about the Web3 industry
- Create reports and educational material to inform and persuade clients to invest in the Company’s products
- Promote thought leadership by participating in speaking engagements, conferences to increase the publicity of the Company
3. Fundraising
- Generate investor interest and secure new funding into the fund or the Company’s Web3 products
- Maintain a rolodex of major investor prospects and cultivate relationships and networks that can lead to subscriptions
- Lead investor pitches and the preparation of investor materials, financial projections and investment case for prospects
