Responsibilities:
- Support the front office origination team in non-recourse debt financing transactions across various industries eg. renewable energy, power, oil and gas, infrastructure, utilities, etc.
- Execution, credit and portfolio management of structured finance transactions
- Undertake risk responsibility / risk management / portfolio management of loan portfolios booked
- Support structuring of complex financing transactions as part of the deal management process including reviewing terms and conditions, analysis, content of credit application and proposed risk mitigants while recognising and respecting the difference in responsibilities between first and second lines of defence
- Recommend decisions and provide valuable input for business segment on credit exposures in line with assigned credit authorities, portfolio strategies, financing principles
- Review loan documentation and terms sheet to ensure credit approved terms are as per documented
- Manage assigned loan portfolios through regular monitoring / risk evaluation, ensuring targets for timely completion of reviews are met
- Communicate with external customers, banks, advisors, internal colleagues, etc.
Profile of Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- At least 3-8 years of relevant experience in a banking, credit, portfolio management, Structured or Project Finance middle office function. Open to PF / SF originators who want to move to a middle office function too.
- Possess strong credit skills with structured finance experience. Exposure to leveraged finance, Aviation / Shipping / RE financing, fund financing and/or securitisation would be an advantage.
- Hybrid mid/front office role – Good communication, interpersonal skills necessary to be able to liaise with clients when needed
- Team player, family culture
- Strong work ethics and excellent learning / work attitude, independent and can perform without much supervision
- Able to work independently, be proactive, able to prioritise and operate under tight deadlines
- Knowledge and passion for project financing and development of large-scale renewable energy, social, digital and/or sustainable transportation infrastructure projects
- Good understanding of debt financing structures and knowledge of key financing and project document terms
