Role & Responsibilities:

-Business partnering role to perform strategic analysis and evaluation to support business decision-making

-Supervise and manage month-end and year-end closing and management reporting

-Review, develop and implement internal controls and processes which can enhance the operational and financial/accounting efficiencies

-Financial planning & analysis, including preparing monthly business review and analysis, cash flow forecasting, annual budgeting and business planning

-Perform ROI analysis for new investment project where applicable

-Performance monitoring and cost management; closely monitor direct and indirect cost structure to advise PL owner on cost reduction initiatives and control

-Ensure the preparation and submission of accurate and timely statutory accounts, tax returns, etc. to the relevant authorities

-Liaise with internal and external auditors, banks, tax agents and respective authorities to ensure appropriate compliance and consistency

-Supervise cash position to assess investments of cash surplus and ensure cash flow liquidity for various entities and to protect and enhance company’s financial assets

-Other ad hoc projects and analysis that’s may be delegated

Requirements :

-2 to 5 years of working experience in F&B/Hospitality industry is highly regarded

-Commercially-attuned, numerate and meticulous

-Possess leadership and partnering abilities and have excellent communication skills

-High energy, reliable and self-motivator

-Experience in accounting software

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Oversee Accounts staff in administering the overall financial functions and ensuring timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Present findings, financial performance, and recommendations to senior management.

2. Strategic Financial Planning and Advisory

• Participate in financial planning and provide strategic advice to the Managing Director on financial-related matters.
• Collaborate with department heads to align financial planning with company objectives and drive profitability.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting

• Lead the budgeting and financial forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business goals and targets.
• Work closely with relevant departments to monitor budget adherence and control costs.

4. Financial Control, Tax, and Compliance

• Handle all corporate tax and GST matters, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.
• Maintain and enforce finance policies, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring accurate invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.

5, Cash Flow and Credit Management

• Manage cash flow requirements, oversee credit control, and optimize working capital.
• Monitor bank balances, manage payments, and coordinate with banks on financing and foreign exchange as required.

6. Financial Operations and Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve financial efficiency, reporting accuracy, and operational effectiveness.
• Leverage financial technologies to streamline processes and support faster reporting.

7. Team Leadership and Collaboration

• Supervise junior finance staff, providing mentorship and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Work closely with other departments (e.g., Sales, Operations) to align financial processes and support cross-functional objectives.

8. Ad-hoc Financial Support

• Provide financial analysis for ad-hoc projects and business decisions as required by management.
• Participate in strategic initiatives by providing financial perspectives and data-driven insights.

Requirements:

• Education: Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or a related discipline; professional certifications such as CPA/CA are preferred but not required.
• Min 5 years of relevant experience in finance, specifically within the retail sector.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and retail-specific financial controls.
• Proven ability to handle full-spectrum accounting, including AP, AR, and financial reconciliation.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data and deliver insights.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

As regional finance controller, you will lead financial management efforts across corporate accounting, regulatory reporting, and budget preparation for designated entities. Accounting Operations:

• Oversee all accounting functions, including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, and cash flow management.

Reporting:

• Prepare and present accurate financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, driving the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and present the annual budgets, financial forecast and variance analysis.

Financial Leadership:

Who We Are Looking For

You are a qualified accounting professional with min 5 years of relevant experience, including a strong background in accounting and analysis. You possess advanced Excel skills for complex financial modelling, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a critical, detail-oriented mindset. You have strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration, along with proficiency in MS Office and accounting softwares which would set you up to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment while maintaining high integrity and professionalism.
