Job title: Team Lead, Claims and Accounts Receivables
Job purpose: To lead the claims and accounts receivables team in ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient processing of claims, billing, and collection activities while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership and Management
· Supervise and mentor the claims and accounts receivables team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
· Set clear goals, KPIs, and performance standards for the team.
· Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
2. Claims Management
· Oversee the end-to-end claims submission process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payer requirements.
· Monitor and address claim rejections and denials, facilitating timely resubmissions.
· Analyze claim trends to identify and resolve recurring issues.
· Collections arising from patients’ shortfall
· Communicate with patients/doctors/clinics
3. Accounts Receivables Management
· Ensure timely invoicing and accurate recording of receivables
· Monitor outstanding accounts and implement effective collection strategies to reduce aged debts.
· Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
4. Compliance and Reporting
· Prepare and present periodic reports on claims performance, accounts receivables aging, and collection efficiency.
· Support audits by providing necessary documentation and insights.
5. Process Improvement
· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors in claims and AR processes.
· Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows and address bottlenecks.
Requirements:
· Diploma in Accounting/ACCA equivalent
· At least 4 years of experience in claim and AR in the healthcare industry
· Details oriented, independent and able to work in a team
· Communicate well
· Good knowledge of the local Reporting Standards, Companies Act and other accounting regulatory requirements is highly essential
· Knowledge and experience with internal control documentation
· Excellent communication skills – written and spoken
· Excellent analytical and problem- solving skills
· Possess a positive attitude, good leadership skills, interpersonal communication skills, independent and a team player
