The role requires the incumbent to engage in comprehensive financial management, including participation in monthly closings, preparation of analytical reports, and financial statement analysis for business unit consolidation. The individual will also be responsible for coordinating with various teams to prepare and analyze financial reports, develop cost models, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.

Responsibilities

• Participate in monthly closing procedures, preparing detailed analytical reports, commentaries, and financial statements for business unit consolidation.
• Conduct reconciliation of manufacturing financial results and prepare financial analyses
• Collaborate with Corporate Finance and the Strategy team to prepare, analyze, and submit management reports for senior management and the parent company, including working on cost models.
• Engage in the annual budgeting process and the preparation of monthly and quarterly forecasts for business unit consolidation.
• Review accounting practices and processes continuously to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of Power BI report projects, including the standardization of BI reports.
• Perform additional duties as necessary, adapting to various requirements within the financial department.

Requirements

• Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, ACCA, or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of working experience.
• Experience: Preferably 3 years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment, including exposure to cost accounting. Knowledge of ERP systems, particularly SAP FI (Finance) and CO (Costing) modules, is essential.
• Skills: The candidate must have excellent Excel skills, a strong numerical and analytical aptitude, and the ability to communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial personnel.
• Personal Attributes: A positive work attitude, self-motivation, and the capability to work independently are crucial. The candidate should be adaptable, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Worked in a team to manage day-to-day activities including financial accounting, credit control, accounts receivable and treasury function
• Assist in group consolidation, monthly financial reporting, financial analysis and budgeting
• Supervise and ensure accurate and timely monthly closing, including review of work of Finance Executives, and journal entries and accounting schedules
• Supervise and provide accounting guidance to a team of Finance Executives in Malaysia and Singapore
• Lead the team in annual statutory audit and corporate tax filing
• Liaise with internal departments on financial matters
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate policies and procedures and accounting standards
• Assist in new processes and system implementation when required
• Other ad hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy and/or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA etc).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, prior audit experience in Big 4 is preferred.
• Familiarity with both Malaysia and Singapore regulations preferred.
• Mature, committed, meticulous and self-motivated. Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal communication skills.
• A good team player with positive attitude.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and under pressure to meet deadlines.
