Job Description

1. Boarding fee management

• Liaising and coordinating of Boarding financial processes with internal and external stakeholders, including Ministry of Education (MOE).
• Reviewing of listings prepared by Boarding Department to ensure accuracy of data for billing.
• Issuing of invoices for all Boarding related fees including ad-hoc billing for Raffles Boarding Programme and air-conditioning fees for RI students, private boarders, MOE scholars and external visitors.
• Submission of e-invoices to MOE through Vendors@Gov and ensuring MOE billing cut-off are met.
• Processing and reconciliation of receipts, laundry collections and GIRO deductions.
• Tracking and follow up on outstanding fees and billing.
• Prepare accounting entries to recognise unbilled, advance and boarding fees monthly.
• Enhance and improve Boarding financial processes with internal and external stakeholders.

2. Gap Semester and MOE TIE Funding

• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders (i.e. MOE) on TIE funds.
• Maintaining and tracking of TIE funds downloaded, utilisation and balance availability.
• Preparing of TIE fund schedules and returns for submissions to MOE.
• Collating of data for budget purpose reporting.

3. Prepare monthly schedules and attending to internal and external audits.

4. Any other duties assigned by the school

Job Requirements

• A Levels with accounting background or Diploma in Accounting/ Finance or its equivalent with at least 1 years of relevant experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and any applicable Accounting Systems/ Software
• High level of accuracy with an eye for detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Clear and logical thinking
• Positive work attitude
• Committed and able to complete tasks independently and as a team
• Conscientious and able to meet reasonably tight deadlines (e.g. month-end closing)
• Good customer service skills, able to build and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Able to commit for at least a month

Responsibilities:

· Updating and reconciliation of receipts from insurance companies, private and corporate customers, inter-companies, Lazada/Shopee accounts etc. against bank statement;

· Clearing of Statement of Recovery Accounts (SORA) for accident repairs;

· Reconciliation of incidental costs against contractors’ high liabilities,

· Check and follow up invoices not release to accounting;

· Credit evaluation, credit limit overview and release of sales order for credit control;

· Generation of reports such as debtors ageing summary, statement of accounts to customers etc.;

· Preparation of audit schedules;

· Month end check on bank statement to ensure all receipts are taken up;

· Preparation of AR related journals;

· Preparation of AR related management meeting;

· Preparation of bank-in slips for cheques received;

· Other ad-hoc functions.

Requirements:

· Diploma in Accounting or equivalent

· At least with 2 years of relevant working experience

· Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel/Word/Powerpoint)

· Knowledge and experience in SAP accounting system would be an advantage

· Meticulous with strong analytical and problem solving skills

· Good team player and enjoy working in a fast paced environment

· Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Supervise a team of co-workers to achieve financial excellence, including the following: 1) timely and accurate monthly reporting and submission of financial results; 2) transactions are properly accounted for in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations, accounting standards, and group polices; 3) proper cost allocation for line of business reporting; 4) reconciliations of intercompany balances/transactions and key accounts are performed and reviewed; 5) preparation of harmonized set of statutory accounts for all entities within the ST Engineering Group
• Engage with business partners / management on financial results review
• Manage and lead harmonization and automation projects to ensure continuous improvement in quality and efficiency of accounting processes
• Coordinate closely with other shared service teams and business partners on procedures and accounting matters
• Liaise with external/internal auditors
• Support business partners on financial information/reporting
• Provide guidance and training to a team of co-workers

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or other professional accounting qualifications
• Chartered Accountant will be an advantage
• At least 5 years of managerial experience in Financial Accounting and Reporting
• At least 3 years of managerial experience in Big 4 audit firm
• Sound knowledge of accounting standards and relevant statutory requirements
• Good interpersonal skills – able to engage with co-workers from various work teams/levels
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Able to work independently and under tight timelines
• Proficient in SAP and Hyperion

Trade Finance Officer (Up to 4K/ CBD)

Job Description

• Ensure the satisfactory delivery of trade finance services in terms of service quality, productivity and turnaround time;
• Processing Trade Finance transactions and ensuring that the transactions adhere to banking regulations,
• Liaising with both internal and external stake holders to provide advice from a transactional viewpoint;
• Helping to improve the day-to-day processes.

Requirements

• Conversant in checking Letter of Credit documents as per UCP/ISBP provision.
