• Oversee the finance team to ensure accurate and timely monthly and year-end financial reporting, statutory audits, and compliance.

• Responsible for making collection calls and negotiation of repayment plans
• In charge of making timely and effective collection of al the debts and customer payments
• Responsible for liaising with lawyer to follow the legal action taken against the bad paymasters and vehicle repossessors to follow up on repossessed vehicle
• Taking charge of maintaining contact with clients to ensure outstanding balance are clear for payment and resolving queries both internally and externally around customers outstanding balance
• In charge of posting and allocating daily receipts to accounting systems

Job Requirement:

It is seeking a CFO or VP finance strong on project/debt financing to join its new start up team.

For this role, you will report directly to the CEO and the management team of the VC firm (backing up this start up). You will be involved in extensive capital raising and debt financing work as the key focus. In addition, you are responsible for providing financial leadership and managing the internal finance operations of this start up including overseeing all aspects of the operational finance and accounting functions, applying for tax exemptions for the start-up, setting up the finance team etc.

The successful applicant should possess the following requirements/qualifications:

• Possess a degree in finance, business , commerce degree completed with a renowned university
• Has a minimum of 8 years of relevant project financing / structured financing experience gained with renowned investment banks. Or you are a senior financial controller/ finance director in the related infrastructure space with strong debt financing experience.
• Strong on debt financing.
• Added industry exposure gained in the infrastructure space including data centres or cloud centres is beneficial (but not a must)

Role and Responsibilities

1. In charge of finance and accounting of business units ensuring prompt closings in compliance with accounting and group policies.

2. Overseeing and reviewing works done by a team of accountants in Singapore and Hong Kong.

3. Review GST submissions and corporate tax returns.

4. Liaising with the external auditor and tax advisor.

5. Participate in forecasting and budgeting exercises.

6. Monitor business performance results with various departments to have quick action taken on gaps and outstanding matters.

7. Instill, maintain and ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements and internal policies and controls.

8. Review and submit various government grants and subvention with MOH and AIC.

9. Propose continuous improvements through development on new or existing policies in the organization.

10. Working together with other departments in timely and appropriate completion of required audits for all legal entities.

11. Any other adhoc duties or projects.
