Role Description
This role is for a Senior Finance Executive based in Singapore for a one-year term. The Senior Finance Executive will oversee full spectrum accounting activities, including financial processes, AP & AR, GL, data migration, and audit schedules for local and overseas entities. Responsibilities include reviewing retrocession calculations, contributing to reports, and budget analysis. The ideal candidate has a degree in Accounting or Finance, a professional qualification, proven experience, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full spectrum of accounting activities including financial processes, AP & AR process, GL, account reconciliation, audit schedules, etc. of local and overseas entities.
- Review all retrocession calculations, payments, and coordinate with other departments on any discrepancies.
- Assist in monthly and annual reporting including management reports, variance analysis budget, etc.
- Develop and ensure implementation of the accounting procedures and policies to ensure compliance with local statutory standards and practices.
- Liaise with external parties e.g. external accountant, auditors, tax agents, and bank contacts, etc.
- Drive implementation of new processes, policies, and systems when required.
- Play a pivotal role in validating and migrating data for a seamless and accurate transfer.
- Work closely with the finance team to identify and communicate issues during the data migration process.
- Play an active role in addressing and resolving any data-related issues that may arise post-migration, contributing to a smooth transition and minimizing disruptions.
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the management.
Qualifications And Skills
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, etc.) is advantageous.
- Will have 3-4 years of experience in accounting, including data migration.
- Proven experience in a similar role, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel. Plus, to possess SQL Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Experience with SAP and SAGE is advantageous.
- Early availability is a plus.
- The position of Senior Finance Executive with a 1-year contract, with the potential for conversion to a permanent role.
- A completion bonus will be provided if the position is not converted to a permanent role.
