Job Description:

Credit Control Function

• To collaborate with our sales department to implement an effective credit control system and resolve outstanding balance issue
• Checking customer's credit application form is properly filled up before submitting the necesarry documents for credit terms approval
• Creating Debtors code in S4 Hana system upon credit approval
• Ensure customers adhere to their credit terms through control in SAP system. Responsible for release of accounts on hold when repayment is resolved
• Maintain accurate records of all chasing activities
• Dealing with queries on payments, ensuring customers pay on time and negotiating payment plans and improving debt collection process
• Regularly contact with customers to ensure all relevant debts are managed when necessary. Chase overdue invoices by telephone conversation and email
• Identify changes in payment patterns and propose action to avert indebtedness
• Start legal action or debt recovery agent to collect the money owed, if necessary
• Submit monthly debtors aging report on a timely basis. Monthly briefing to the sales team on overdue debt status
• Oversee the dissemination of Customer's Statement of Account by 3rd of the following month
• Other duties as delegated from time to time.

Accounts Receivable

• To attend the bank matters such as bank in Cash collections once or twice a week, daily bank in cheque collection and send documents (Giro form) for verification by bank as and when required by customers
• To help account receivable's team on adhoc requests regarding customer's related matters, including raising credit notes and debit notes

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Minimum 3 years experience in relevant credit control and accounts receivable from food manufacturing industry
• Experience in leading a team

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary/Main (90%):

• Co-ordinate and liaise with respective subsidiaries regarding group conso matters.
• Ensure subsidiaries’ conso package submit for conso on timely basis.
• Prepare month-end, quarter-end, year-end closing and consolidation financial statements of the Group in accordance with IFRS and Group requirements.
• Prepare statement of group cash flow, necessary supporting schedules and announcement on quarter-end and year-end closing for SGX announcement.
• Ensure closing of group consolidation are on timely basis and information furnished are accurate and in concise manner.
• Board file preparation on quarterly basis.
• Assist in preparation of annual report, annual general meeting (AGM) and extraordinary general meeting (EGM).
• Assist in preparation of Sustainability Report.
• Assist in simplifying monthly conso package.
• Prepare consolidation of group annual budget and forecast.
• Assist in co-ordinate and liaise with external auditors for all group matters and issues.
• To ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirement and standards (Financial Reporting Standards and Tax Act).
• Assist in development and implementation of standard operating procedures.
• Any ad-hoc matters as assigned.

Secondary (10%)

Manage a local subsidiary and its affiliates, encompassing the subsequent areas:

• Review payment vouchers and staff claim.
• Review financial reports and ensure compliance with overall group’s reporting and prescribed standards.
• Monitor and analyse monthly operating results against budgeted financial reports.
• Monthly preparation of board pack materials and conduct of the monthly board meetings.
• Review GST reports for monthly or quarterly filing to IRAS.
• Oversee yearly stock take exercise.
• Review year-end closing and audit schedules, including the liaison with auditors and tax agents.
• Coordinate and liaise on the yearly financial budget and forecast.
• Review of daily cash flow.
• Perform a detailed GPM analysis on a project basis.
• Need travelling to oversea subsididiaries
• Any ad-hoc matters as assigned.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy or ACCA or its equivalent.
• Minimum 8 to 10 years of related working experience.
• Experience in Group Consolidation under Listed Company is preferred.
• Familiar in analysis of group results and SGX reporting
• Conversant in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and or International Financial Reporting Standards and group consolidation
• Knowledge of SAP ERP System will be an added advantage.

Job Description:

1. Month-end closing and analysis

• Review the P&L and Balance Sheet, including schedules, reconciliations and journals prepared by Team members.
• Prepare, analyze and present the monthly financial reports, in a timely and reliable manner, that accurately reflects the financial performance and health of the businesses.
• Analyze and explain variances vs prior year and budget, understand the risks and opportunities of the business across various functions, and the competitive environment.
• Discuss and highlight to the Business Heads on analysis of results, Sales & margin development, expenses trends, key issues and opportunities to improve financial health, with data-driven insights to facilitate better decision-making.

2. Tax reporting and compliance

• Manage the full spectrum of corporate tax, working with our tax advisor on timely and accurate submissions, as well as leveraging on applicable tax incentives.
• Implement the Tax Governance Framework (TGF) and Tax Risk Management and Control Framework for Corporate Tax (CTRM), per IRAS’ guidelines.
• Manage transfer pricing policies and documentation, including the BEPS 2.0
• Manage the GST compliance and reporting, maintain our GST ACAP Premium status.

3. Corporate governance, internal controls and compliance

• Ensure appropriate policies are in place, updated periodically and enforced objectively. b. Safeguard assets and mitigate risks with appropriate insurance cover from Group and local insurers. c. Quarterly assessment of the risks and controls, liaising with Internal Audit. d. Prepare quarterly reports to our Group’s Divisional Audit & Risk Committee. e. Manage corporate secretarial matters – ensure compliance with Companies Act and ACRA requirements.

4. Finance Operations

• Analyze working capital trends, optimize working capital days and maximize cashflow generation.
• Evaluate the FX requirements, manage FX risks with appropriate FX hedging.
• Liaise with our external Auditors, manage the interim and final audits within tight deadlines.
• Be willing to challenge the status quo, streamline processes to improve productivity. Active engagement in various Finance digitization and digital transformation projects.

5. Supervision and coaching of staff

• Supervise and review work by Team members, provide constructive feedback to drive continuous improvements in skills, knowledge, efficiency and professionalism; foster a positive work culture.
• Assist Financial Director with staff management and talent development.

Job requirements:

• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or ACCA, with CA / CPA 2.
• Experience: minimum 5 years post-qualifying experience in managing the finance functions, stakeholder engagement and supervising a Team, preferably from large sales organizations or Big 4 audit firms
• Well-versed with IFRS requirements and with the various tax legislations (GST, corporate tax, transfer pricing)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel, and Microsoft Dynamics (Navision) ERP system
