What You Will Be Working On
As an Investment Compliance and Risk Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies related to investment compliance and risk management.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct pre-trade compliance checks for internally managed portfolios to ensure adherence to investment guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Perform post-trade compliance monitoring and risk reporting for all investment portfolios, including coordination with investment managers and custodian banks.
- Prepare, analyse, and monitor investment risk and exposure reports for presentation to Management and Investment Committee.
- Implement the quarterly Personal Trading Declaration exercise, overseeing checks on staff personal trading activities, and reviewing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and investment guidelines as necessary.
- Lead custodian transition and guideline implementation projects in collaboration with external stakeholders, ensuring smooth execution and compliance with established procedures.
What We Are Looking For
We value the diverse talents and experiences that each individual brings to the table. While mastery of every requirement may not be necessary, familiarity and expertise in some of the following areas will position you for success within this team.
- Relevant experience in investment compliance or risk management.
- Good knowledge knowledge of complex investment instruments and associated risks, such as FX hedging and USD-denominated instruments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with advanced skills in Excel including VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) and Power Query.
- Proficiency in Excel PowerQuery and Data Analytics Expression (DAX) for advanced data manipulation and analysis is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends and patterns.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Prior experience in automation projects, with knowledge of programming languages such as Python or UiPath is a plus.
The seniority of appointment and actual corporate job title will commensurate with individual work experiences.
Position is on a 1-year full-time contract directly under the payroll of CPF Board with an option to renew, contingent upon confirmation and subject to organisational needs. Additionally, there is potential for emplacement into a permanent position.
