Job Responsibility:

Main Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Claims, you shall be responsible to

• Manage all lines of claims including and not limited to WICA, Motor, P&C.
• To ensure accurate and prompt claims processing within stipulated turnaround time
• Access policy liability, compute and determine claims amount payable based on policy cover and in accordance to management guidelines
• Handle phone and email enquiries and attend to walk-in policyholders / claimants in relations to claims and payment status in accordance with Company procedures
• Study claims history and highlight to Superior on any abnormalities or repeated complaints
• Cross-collaboration with other departments internally
• Liaise with all stakeholders, including service providers, intermediaries and partners

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma or Degree with General Insurance (BCP, PGI, ComGI and HI) certificates
• At least 1 year of hands-on claims assessment and handling experience. Experience in work injury claims is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Good analytical and decision making skills, meticulous with attention to details

Job Description
As a member of Private Bank Business Risk & Control Management (BRCM) team, you will play
an important role in exercising risk oversight over front office activities through quality assurance
checks.
Specifically, this role will focus on conducting quality assurance through regular/thematic testing
and ongoing post transaction reviews. You may be required to drive risk and control initiatives
across Private Bank to implement new regulatory requirements or controls enhancement.

This role entails:
▪ Post trade surveillance (tape listening, email surveillance) for client accounts.
▪ Develop subject matter expertise on investment products and related regulatory
requirements and Front office controls (e.g. Investment Suitability / Anti-Fraud).
▪ Identify root causes and propose corrective actions to regularise process related exceptions.
▪ Interact with Front Office staff to provide testing results, analyse disputes and conduct
reassessments whenever necessary.
▪ Participates in discussions with business and risk partners on risk/process issues (e.g.
Compliance, COO functions, Internal/External Audit).
▪ Recommends and implements enhancements to improve effectiveness and efficiency of
Controls Framework and related processes.
▪ Provide sound and pragmatic risk advisory to Front Office and support function for
initiatives/activities and project

▪ Minimum 2 – 3 years experience in a Quality Assurance (QA) / controls testing or
surveillance function.

Job Duties:

• Investigate, evaluate and resolve assigned claims including non-standard within designated personal authority level, in line with established standards, procedures and guideline provided.
• Conduct pro-active settlement through appropriate negotiation including instruct and collaborate with counsel regarding litigation strategy and claim resolution.
• Identify and investigate suspicious / fraudulent claims under supervision.
• Manage customer/intermediary interactions in an efficient, courteous and timely manner in order to deliver high standards of customer satisfaction.
• Organize and use approved internal and/or external suppliers to ensure appropriate and timely services are provided to customers.
• Identify non-standard or complex claims and escalating to supervisor to ensure they are handled appropriately.
• Provide guidance and assistance to claims associates when necessary.
• Support more experienced colleagues in the handling of non-standard cases.
• Assist in preparation of reports or analysis where necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and policy requirements internally and externally.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as warranted including ad-hoc projects.

Essential Requirements:

• Relevant academic qualifications with a minimum of 3-4 years solid claims handling experience in the Involved Line(s) of Business.
• Preferably a holder or in progress of professional insurance qualification such as ANZIIF or ACII or meet minimum local mandatory qualification requirement such as Certificate of General Insurance (“CGI”) from the Singapore College of Insurance.

• Ability to exercise sound judgment and analytical ability.
