Sales/ Finance Assistant (Maritime)

• Working hours: 9 am to 5.30 pm (Flexi, WFH once a week after probation completion)
• Working days: 5 days (Mon-Fri)
• Locations: Kaki Bukit
• Salary: S$2,000 - S$2,800 (depending on experience)

Finance

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all vendor invoices are correctly recorded and paid in a timely manner.
• Record and apply outgoing/incoming payments accurately into system.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation.
• Responsible for preparing and reimbursement of petty cash.
• Follow up outstanding accounts receivables.
• Assist in the preparation of GST input tax filings.
• Any ad hoc assignment that may assigned from time to time.

Sale Support

Responsibilities:

• Support Sale and project Team and coordinate sales-related activities within the organization (including Hong Kong, China and Philippines orders).
• Generate delivery orders and sales invoices.
• Ensures accurate and timely processing of shipping documents and invoices.
• Inform customers of any delays and arrange alternate delivery dates.
• Closely follow up and update customers on delivery dates.
• Prepare purchase orders to Suppliers.
• Liaise and co-ordinate with Suppliers to ensure timely delivery and collection of goods.
• Appoint and co-ordinate with freight forwarder to deliver goods to our warehouse.
• Co-ordinate with Logistic/Warehouse on delivery schedule.
• Handle email/phone enquiries.
• Other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned.

Qualification / Requirement

• Minimum 1 year’s relevant experience in accounting/logistics.
• Training will be provided.
• Attention to details and data accuracy.
• Well-versed in MS Office, especially MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Basic knowledge on SAP BeOne system will be a plus.
• Able to start work within short notice period or immediately preferred

Job Purpose & Objectives

Support the development of the commercial franchise of the Equity and Investment Solutions Business for BBVA in Asia. Targeted clients are mainly Private Banks, Retail Banks, Securities Houses, Family Offices, Asset Managers in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain relationship with existing clients
• Assist in client onboarding processes
• Execute client transactions on structured products and OTC derivatives, in adherence with the Bank’s policies and guidelines
• Provide market colour, ideas and sales commentary to clients
• Provide feedback on client activities to internal stakeholders (mainly Trading, Sales Trading)

About Markets:

The Markets team is responsible for implementing the strategic goals of the Global Markets business. Working closely with the regional and global COOs, Business Heads and their teams, we drive and manage risk, change and development of the business, working in conjunction with the trading, sales and infrastructure teams.

About TSA:

The team, Trading & Sales Assistants, sits within the Markets function and provides coverage of risk management, strategic business planning exercises and participation in key projects.

Key Accountabilities:

• Trade Capture related functions including but not limited to: Trade Capture Assistance, Allocations, Trade Amendments, Queries investigation, Client servicing
• Ensure there is suitable control processes around trade booking, verification and reconciliation and that the control environment of TSA matches the ambition of the Sales desk to trade new and exciting products as well as supporting existing business in a scalable fashion.
• Working closely with Sales, Trading, IB Middle Office, PCG and DFX teams across the globe on a daily basis to resolve issues.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree’s in Business/Finance
• 1 to 3 years of Middle Office Experience in Credits and FX cash
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral and is comfortable communicating directly with all levels of the organization
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Organized, high attention to detail
• Ability to develop relationships with both internal and external clients to understand and address their needs.
• Eagerness to take initiative and promote process improvements
• Experience in Microsoft Office technologies including Excel and VBA
