Our Corporate Bank Technology team is a global team of 3000 coders (and growing!) across 30 countries. The primary businesses that Corporate Bank support are Cash Management, Securities Services, Trade Finance and Trust & Agency Services. CB Technology support these businesses through CIO aligned teams and also by 'horizontals' such as Client Connectivity, Surveillance and Regulatory, Infrastructure, Architecture, Production, and Risk & Control.

Trade Finance & Lending: Trade Finance Technology is responsible for the application development for international documentary payments, i.e. collections, letters of credit, guarantees, foreign trade financing for corporate clients and institutional investors, for both importers and exporters. Product examples include: unstructured and structured trade finance, loan and credit distribution solutions

Your key responsibilities:

As part of our global team you will work on various components as a Lead Software Engineer. Your role includes specification, development, as well as the testing and rollout of new features. You are expected to contribute to the vision, understand our product roadmap, integrate business value with experience and contribute to building an engineering culture within the team. We expect the successful candidate to deliver high quality software and to be passionate about software engineering. You must have a proficient understanding of software development concepts. A good understanding of Cloud concepts.

• Ownership and oversee development of application in alignment with the target architecture as per Domain and Enterprise Architecture blueprint.
• Provide technical expertise on the development of software and platform features, ensuring that appropriate security and risk factors are considered.
• Engage with business to understand the high-level requirements and propose the solution.
• Engage with Functional Analysts to help them in putting the right functional solution.
• Develop the high-level solution & design documents for all requirements.
• Validate all the NFR expected as part of business requirement is met in the actual implementation.
• Monitor the results and quality of the different software solutions and projects implemented.
• Coding and testing, reviewing other team member’s changes.
• Engage with production support team to resolve any critical issue.

Your skills and experience

• Minimum 12 years of working experience in general programming language such as Java (Eg: Java 8+)
• Experience in leading a team of developers providing technical leadership and people management.
• Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, front end frameworks such as React and or Angular.
• Hands-on experience building Microservices including writing Unit and Integration tests using Spring Boot, Cloud, and other relevant frameworks.
• Knowledge of Application, data and infrastructure architecture principles and design patterns
• Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
• Understanding and Hands-on experience in applying the Event Driven Pattern of microservices such as CQRS
• Knowledge on the Distributed Messaging platform such as Apache Kafka
• Exposure to functional / Reactive programming is mandatory and working knowledge of functional programming in Java
• Hands-on experience working on cloud native applications on platforms such as Kubernetes, Azure, RedHat OpenShift
• Hands on usage of Git for source code management, integrating GitHub repos with Artifactory and using same for GCP deployments by implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge on Kubernetes and using helm commands for deployment in Google cloud platform.
• Create build and deployment pipelines using Terraform or similar technology.
• Exposure to resiliency patterns such as circuit breakers using tools such as Hystrix.
• Exposure in effective operational patterns such as metrics, health checks, distributed tracing using tools like Sleuth, EFK etc.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information Technology or Programming & Systems Analysis or Science (Computer Studies).

The Opportunity

We own, evolve and support the technology platforms that handle the post-execution processing for the Securities Execution, Prime Clearing, and Prime Brokerage businesses. This includes exchange and broker trade processing, internal firm/firm trades and client delivery across physical and synthetic products. We are at the start of a multi-year convergence program to deliver all of these businesses onto a single, high scalable platform, enabling business growth with reduced operational costs.

We’re looking for highly technical, commercially minded, software engineers who enjoy seeing things done differently to join us on this exciting journey.

About the team

Our team consists of 19 people in Singapore and around 100 globally. Almost all of our projects are cross-location and cross-function, meaning we work directly with Front Office, Operations, Legal, Tax, and our Engineering colleagues from those areas, across the wider firm.

We work directly with Operations and Securities sales/trading, to design and implement, a wide range of functions including trade aggregators, trade matchers, payment systems, intercompany trade booking and settlement systems, and connectivity to exchanges, counterparties and vendors. Our Exception Workflow and Business Intelligence tooling allows our Operations teams to respond to client enquiries and monitor service levels.

Our Post Execution platform consists of a variety of applications that demand high throughput, performance and availability, including our strategic new Post Execution Sequencer platform which is a brand new/greenfield initiative to converge all of our businesses onto a single technology platform, to have much better scalability, improved resiliency and reducing the time needed to develop and deliver new features.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of responsive web development, with professional React hooks experience and advanced JavaScript / Typescript proficiency.
• Experience with grid-based layouts, eg. ag-grid and flexible layouts.
• Solid experience in and strong desire on building highly efficient and performant UI code
• Building web socket-based (and/or REST API) integration with server-side.
• Desire to build strong and efficient SDLC practices.
• Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with a hands-on experience of debugging and optimizing code, as well as automation.
• Strong interpersonal skills and drive. Excellent communication skills required, able to contribute to discussions on design and strategy

Preferred Qualifications

Reporting to the Regional FPSO Manager, we are looking for an FPSO Analyst to drive business transformations by developing and improving core business processes/structures and facilitating the implementation of new systems/processes/requirements with minimal business impact. Main Responsibilities:

1) Act as a Regional Finance Coordinator on system/project roll outs:

3) Act as a Subject Matter Expert in Systems & Finance Processes

• Be a functional expert in business systems/processes and have a good understanding on interconnected systems workflow
• Collaborate with business and discover new opportunities for Power BI, RPA or related automations development.
• Actively participate with operational teams to define system/operational requirements for new business requirements/initiatives/acquisitions
• Facilitate the review of front and back-office business systems/processes tickets
• Optimize, improve, and streamline business process, ensure proper control, and process compliance

4) User support & training

• Engage with key users and arrange training for them
• Bring any useful updates/training feedback for functional evaluation

5) Post implementation monitoring / Performance monitoring

• Validate all the NFR expected as part of business requirement is met in the actual implementation.

Your skills and experience:

• Minimum 10 years of relevant SDLC experience working on project implementation in financial industry.
• Hands on Experience in Traydstream product implementation.
• Hands-on experience on software development in Java 8 and exposure to functional reactive programming.
• Hands-on experience working on cloud native applications on platforms such as Kubernetes, Azure, Redhat Openshift
• Knowledge on the Distributed Messaging platform such as Apache Kafka.
• Hands-on experience in at least one of the DevOps tools such as Git Hub, Jenkins, Team City etc.
• Experience in Business-Driven development methodology and knowledge of BDD frameworks such as JBehave or Cucumber.
• Hand on Experience on API build and Integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience building Microservices including writing Unit and Integration tests using Spring Boot, Cloud, and other relevant frameworks.
• Understanding and Hands-on experience in applying the Event Driven Pattern of microservices such as CQRS.
• Hands-on experience working on cloud native applications on platforms such as Kubernetes, Azure, Redhat Open shift.
• Experience in Cloud deployments.
• Knowledge on usage and deployment of AI/ML models in GCP.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information Technology or Programming & Systems Analysis or Science (Computer Studies).

Reporting to the Regional FPSO Manager, we are looking for a FPSO Analyst / Senior Analyst to drive business transformations by developing and improving core business processes/structures and facilitating the implementation of new systems/processes/requirements with minimal business impact.  Your objectives will be to ensure that the systems meet business requirements, controls, and compliance; that users are trained and use the system correctly; and that support is delivered in a pro-active and efficient manner. You will work as part of the Regional FPSO Team, interacting closely with the regional functional teams, regional management and the Global FPSO team.

Main Responsibilities:

Supervise the country deployments of front (Trading) and back-office (Treasury and Accounting) applications:

• Lead meetings or discussions related to system implementation independently and ensure smooth deployment
• Drive and define system/operational requirements for new business setups and ensure essential needs are met
• Responsible for efficient release of system enhancements that fulfill user requirements and project deadline
• Regularly update project status and metrics to regional management as well as cross-functional teams within organization
• Communicate any system changes (before and after) to Finance users to mitigate any downstream impact to business operations

Act as a Subject Matter Expert in Systems & Finance Processes

• Be a functional advisor in business systems/processes and have a good understanding on interconnected systems workflow. Must be hands-on to perform basic troubleshooting.
• Serve as a central point of contact, working closely with stakeholders from Finance, BPO (business process owner) team, IT, both regionally and globally. Display exceptional capability to multi-task.
• Arbitrate priorities and design efficient approach to manage system/project rollouts.
• Translate local requirements, identify gaps, analyze, align, and integrate into global applications end-to-end following core/group global standard model
• Contribute and ensure efficient governance on system implementations and support clear definitions of roles and responsibilities when required
• Standardize finance processes/system usage across the region
• Automate, optimize, and improve existing processes. Assist to document SOPs.

User support & training

• Validate approach on system testing, and formulate jointly with team members on detailed test plan
• Animate key user meetings to conduct change management and empower end-users to be autonomous
• Arrange training of key users on the functional usage of the systems and on best practices
• Bring any useful training feedback for functional evaluation

Post implementation monitoring / Performance monitoring

• Monitor projects KPIs and track deliverables are met 
• Ensure all outstanding items have continuously been followed up and there’s proper closure

Experience

• At least 5-6 years of strong operational experience in project management and finance processes/systems implementations.

Other skills (Computer Skills, etc)

• Project Management skills and good knowledge of key finance processes and best practices
• Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with different levels of stakeholders
• Ability to run multiple projects in parallel in a fast-paced, tight timeline working culture. 
• Excellent competence to gather & analyze information, resolve problems and form a plan of action
• Demonstrate calibre to be resourceful and thrive in navigating through ambiguous situation.
• Positive and proactive attitude toward problem solving.
• Experience with UAT (User Acceptance Testing), handling both in-house and external systems like SAP, Microsoft Dynamics AX, payment system (FIS TRAX) and Cash Management system (Quantum) would be a plus

• Good Microsoft Office skills
• Working knowledge of Financial Markets, in particular Commodity is preferred
