Responsibility

The candidate will provide operational middle and back-office support including daily fund operations, trade settlement and business-related needs. The candidate will have opportunities to both learn and expand their knowledge of the operations workflow for hedge funds across different strategies, managed accounts and long only funds. This candidate reports to the Head of Operations – Public Markets.

The position would ideally suit a candidate who has 4-5 years’ experience in a small to mid-sized hedge fund and is seeking to move to the next level in their career.

The candidate is expected to have both experience and expertise in most of the following key duties in relation to funds and or managed accounts:

· Involvement in the project management of fund/managed account launches

· Daily operational duties

· Trade reconciliation

· Calculation of internal daily NAV estimates

· Interaction with a wide range of service providers including but not limited to Prime Brokers, Custodians, Trustees, Executing Brokers, Fund Administrators

· Monitoring & performing monthly or intra month hedging

· Assisting auditors in the preparation of annual Financial Statements

· Performing KYC compliance checks & AML checks

· Preparation of newsletters for investors

· Ad-hoc duties including assisting in the preparation of marketing materials and short-term projects

Requirements

- 4-5 years relevant experience in a hedge fund, asset management firm or fund administrator

- Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance, statistics, and or business

Roles & Responsibilities:-

1. Process accounts payable (AP) invoice.
2. Generate accounts receivable (AR) invoice in SAP.
3. Prepare payment voucher for AP payments.
4. Check GST and prepare GST quarterly submission.
5. Prepare monthly report (AP/AR sales and cost).
6. Internal control and process documentations.
7. Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:-

What we expect from you

1- At least 3 years experience as an accountant or auditor, preferable from one of the Big 4.

• Management and maintenance of, and adherence to, the tax governance and controls framework for the APAC region.
• Manage the outsourcing of the compliance process for APAC entities to ensure that all tax filing and payment obligations are completed accurately and within the statutory deadlines. This includes liaising with colleagues in other areas (eg Finance, HR) to ensure information is provided on a timely basis, escalating as required, and supervising local agents in APAC to perform these services.
• Ensuring accurate and timely reported tax disclosures in financial statements and management accounts.
• Reviewing and advising tax accruals, tax payments and group relief if applicable.
• Liaising closely with Transfer Pricing colleagues, and local teams such as Finance, Indirect Taxes, Legal, Treasury, Compliance and Risk as required.
• Responding to and resolve APAC tax authorities’ enquiries in a timely manner.
• Implementing process efficiencies to facilitate and enhance tax compliance.
• Advising the business on ad hoc queries, including advice to the business on new products and initiatives.
• Reviewing changes to tax legislation and consider impact for Wells Fargo’s APAC entities, including drafting tax memoranda.

Job Description

1. Support the Relationship Managers in operational duties related to clients' account servicing and transactional services including account opening and maintenance, credit application, investment transaction and banking instruction.

2. Attend to clients' instructions and queries timely in professional manner.
