Work with NTS Amega West management team to develop annual forecast, reviewing current and past performance and ensuring that output is aggressive but achievable. Periodically review forecast and revise where necessary.

Make overall responsibility for NTS Amega West financial reporting. Ensure reporting is timely and that it gives a correct representation of the groups and its business units performance and financial standing.

Collection and analysis of NTS Amega West P&L performance on a monthly basis by measuring and analysing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances

Ensure that finance audit processes are well planned and that auditors are provided the information that they request to fulfil their audits in a reassuring way.

Manage NTS Amega West liquidity and cash flow, analysing and challenging data and putting in place corrective actions where necessary.

Ensure that tax reporting is submitted according to rules and regulations.

Ensure that invoicing is carried out promptly and accurately each month.

Follow up with Customers to ensure that monies are collected in line with PO T&C’s, take the necessary action to collect aged debt.

Process payroll and expenses each month to ensure that they are paid IAW WPS and employee contracts.

Manage NTS Amega West banking activity and relationships.

Ensure that company and employee insurances are in place, comply with contractual requirements and provide best value for company.

Liaise with Singapore & Customer authorities to ensure that all registration, licences etc. are established and kept fully up to date.

Manage all purchase invoices from Suppliers to make sure they are adequately processed through the NTS financial system.

Support procurement function to ensure that competitive tendering is being carried out, purchasing costs are minimised, payment terms are optimised to ensure maximum value for NTS Amega West.

Maintain employee records (personal details, holidays, sick time), adhering to guidelines on confidentiality.

Review and keep update data on fixed assets and depreciation, bank book and prepayment schedule.

Petty cash handling

Ensure the computer backups are done on a weekly/monthly basis.

Perform tasks with accuracy, honesty, integrity and Customer Focus.

Good communications, always thinking of the larger picture and future impacts.

Fully co-operate with other departments to ensure work flow is maintained as and when required.

Participate in all HSE programs, in particular; STOP Intervention, HSE Observations, Accident/Incident Reporting, HSE Auditing & good housekeeping practices

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree and above in any field
• General Insurance experience (with BCP, PGI and ComGI Cert) and navigation of insurance portals are an added advantage

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

Gradiant is looking for an Insurance Manager who can manage and review all corporate, business and project insurance policies globally to ensure the insurable interests of Gradiant’s global operations are protected. The major job duties and responsibilities are below:

Insurance Operations

• Function as an intermediary between Gradiant’s subsidiaries and broker(s), by reviewing and critically assessing the Gradiant's insurance needs on a timely basis to ensure risks are transferred while creating potential cost savings for the company.
• Strategize insurance requirements and streamline claims protocols and procedures for Gradiant global operations.
• Run the procurement process and ensure timely renewal of all annual corporate and business insurance policies globally (e.g. professional indemnity, workers compensation, comprehensive general liability, marine cargo, directors and officers, travel, business interruption, property all risk, auto liability).
• Run the procurement process for project specific insurance policies and provide timely support to sales and proposal team and project manager(s) for insurance terms review, cost estimation and insurance placement.
• Lead the compilation and preparation of underwriting materials when required during insurance placement.

Contract Insurance Reviews

• Review and identify issues in policy wordings.
• Timely review of all contracts to ensure terms and conditions agreed within the contract are covered by existing insurance covers available and propose amendments to bring contractual liabilities under existing insurance covers. If required, additional insurance has to be put in place in order to carve out onerous

Claims Handling

• Ensure all claims are filed timely.
• Maximize and expedite the recovery of claims by working closely with brokers, loss adjusters, insurers and internal stakeholders.
• Business Partnering
• Provide training to key stakeholders (e.g. project managers, commercial managers) in ensuring potential insurance claims are submitted timely.
• Data Analysis and Loss Prevention
• Identify loss trends and severity of losses and recommend appropriate corrective actions in loss avoidance and mitigation.
• Reporting
• Compile claim statistics and reports to management periodically

Skills/Experience/Education Required:

• Degree in Engineering/Business/Insurance
• 6 to 8 years of experience working in insurance industry with relevant industry experience in industrial and/or municipal water/wastewater treatment.
• Familiarity with insurance policies common in the construction industry, like professional indemnity, construction all risk/erection all risk, marine cargo, comprehensive general liability, products liability, auto liability, property all risk, workers compensation, employers liability.
• Well versed with insurance terms and conditions, common endorsements/exclusions, typical costs of different insurance policies so as to be able to fully negotiate with brokers and underwriters during insurance placement exercise.
• Able to work with various subsidiaries globally and across various functions (legal, finance, HR, project, sales, proposals) to compile information requested by broker/underwriter that best represents business risks.
• Meticulous, self-driven & pro-active, with initiative to work independently or in a team. Highly adaptable to dynamic work environments.

Job Description:

1. Lead the Finance Team

2. Prepare financial management reports, Management Accounts every month for review for both Singapore and Malaysia companies

3. Liaise with external auditors, tax agents and external parties to ensure relevant statutory compliance

4. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, Companies Act, tax regulations and other regulatory requirements

5. Experienced and good in handling withholding tax and GST.

6. Assist in stock reconciliation, consignment billing

7. Manage and process office payroll as well as to ensure that monthly payroll processes run smoothly.

8. Follow up with new application and renewal of insurance policies.

9. Assist and review transfer pricing report

10. Perform cash collection and petty cash disbursement

11. Handle HR administration tasks (i.e application of work permit, survey, recruitment)

12. Assist in any adhoc function and related duties as and when assigned by management

Requirements:

1. Minimum degree in Accounting or Finance with 4 years of relevant experience, at last 2 years in supervisory role.

2. Audit experience would be an advantage

3. Excellent communication and analytical skills with good command in English, Bahasa Malay and Mandarin

4. Possess good leadership and interpersonal qualities, highly motivated with a strong sense of integrity

5. Proficient with Microsoft Office software applications

6. Experience with SAP Business One and ERPnext will be preferred

Job Requirements:
