JOB PURPOSE

Manage the Fixed Income platform and own the P/L. Product Advisory

Responsibilities

• Safety Management System Implementation: Support in the implementation of the Company's Safety Management System, which may include tasks related to manuals and fleet notices. • Assist with HSEQ and Certification: smartPAL HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, Quality), Quality Document Management System (QDMS), certification processes, and day-to-day crewing issues.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Support GM for collaboration with various stakeholders to plan for future deployments and unification efforts. Support PMS/DD/Purchase PICs in ICT Strategies Team
• Mobile App Project Support: Assist in implementing a Mobile App project for LG (Liquefied Gas) and Tanker
• operations.

Requirements

• Min Education in Deck Class 1 Certificate of Competency or equivalent.
• At least 5 years shore experience in ship management company and Sailed as Master on Merchant vessel.
• Good knowledge of ISM (International Safety Management Code), ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security Code), MLC (Maritime Labor Convention), TMSA (Tanker Management and Self-Assessment), SIRE (Ship Inspection Report Program), and ISO standards. Monitoring & sharing international rules, regulations, and shipping industries’ standard, including interfacing with regulatory agencies
• Proficiency in IT tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Business Intelligence (BI) tools.

Responsibilities

I) Corporate Management and Governance:

1. Governance over Group Companies:

• The team is responsible to establish/revise of the group company management guidelines continuously, including but not limited to change of law, headquarters regulation change.
• Conduct regular checking with the group companies to ensure their operations and management system are conducted upon referring to the group management guidelines.
• Ensure that the group approval system is followed by the group companies and its adoption for respective material business matters (e.g., Change of directors, investment, dividend arrangement, etc.).
• Responsible for updating/ managing business profile of group companies.

2. Monitoring on Group Companies:

• Establish/Indicate procedures for periodically checking and reporting on the group of companies’ business operations (i.e. Organization charts, headcount report etc.) and financial performance and ensuring that it is in line with approved Business Plan.
• Establish/ Clarify the procedures of their reports, follow up with group of companies if detected their financial and non-financial performances are deviated from Business Plan.

3. Budgeting/ Financial Performance:

• Be responsible for preparing and verifying the Budget and forecast and cost allocation of each department/ division.
• Monitor financial performance. (i.e. Budget vs Actual, dedicated project cost control, and Balance Sheet etc.).

II) Legal and Compliance

1. Maintenance of Internal Rules and Policies:

• The team is responsible for ensuring and confirming that all important internal rules of the Group have been prepared and adherence to group policies, regulatory requirements, industry standard and ethical practices within the region.
• Execute policies implementation, governance, and compliance activities in our company with superior include establishing disciplinary measures to prevent future compliance breaches, where appropriate.
• The notification point of policy/ rules changes at headquarters to a group companies.
• Recommend changes to processes/ procedures and alert management to potential risks that might arise.

2. Meeting/ Committee Management:

• To ensure the minutes of such meetings are properly prepared and stored.

3. Legal Management:

• Take leads on collaboration for group companies on liaising with external legal counsel and regulatory authorities as needed, to solve legal disputes.
• Negotiating, drafting, reviewing contracts and other legal documents.
• Safeguard post-signature tracking and ensure proper filing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, corporate governance or related field.
• 5 -7 years of experience in corporate role, legal & compliance governance, with proven record of supporting senior manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Overall Accounting Management:

To be successful in this role you will require the following:

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Degree holder in Finance or Accounting or a related field. Qualified member of recognized Professional Accounting Qualifications, e.g. CPA, ACCA or equivalent Professional certification is preferred.
