The Role

As Lead Data Steward/Data Governance Manager, you will manage and safeguard data assets within the data governance framework. You will focus on maintaining data quality, usage and compliance, ensuring that data lineage and governance policies are upheld. You will collaborate with data stewards across various domains to design and enforce data quality rules and support the operationalization of data governance processes.

Job Responsibilities

• Implement data stewardship principles that align with the data governance framework and policies.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 4-6 years’ experience in data-related disciplines (e.g., Data Governance, Data Management, Regulatory Reporting, Data Warehouse, Data Lake, ETL, or Data Architecture)
• Professional certification in data governance (e.g., CDMP, Collibra, DGSP, CIMP), risk management (e.g., GARP, PRIMIA) are a plus.
• Proven experience in data stewardship and governance within the banking sector
• Ability to design and implement data quality rules and resolve data issues across various domains, including solid knowledge and practical implementation experience in regulatory compliance requirements.

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Compliance & Control, to join our Enterprise Risk Assurance team. This role is located in Singapore – Hybrid.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

• With minimal guidance, lead and perform financial crime compliance thematic reviews efficiently, effectively and timely related to BNY’s businesses and operational processes to ensure adherence to applicable laws, rules, and regulations as well as corporate and business policies and procedures in accordance with the Global Compliance Testing Manual methodology for the APAC region.
• Analyzing control processes to ensure they are aligned and in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and internal corporate and business policies and procedures
• Understanding key regulations in scope to design applicable tests to be performed to assess adherence of the business to business, corporate and regulatory requirements
• Participate in the coordination and attendance of engagement planning meetings and walkthroughs
