About the Role

In Singapore’s Enabling Masterplan 2030, the national roadmaps for the whole of society to come together to support persons with disabilities, ABLE plays a critical and holistic role in helping the physically challenged to live with dignity and purposefully.

As such, we are looking for an energetic and passionate individual to lead and implement an integrated donor and community engagement strategy to achieve ABLE’s goals through fundraising and donor engagement, collaboration with corporates on joint CSR initiatives, volunteer management, and strengthening ABLE’s purpose and brand awareness.

This is a unique opportunity for an individual with a passion for social change to contribute to a meaningful cause and drive transformative initiatives.

You will be reporting directly to the Executive Director.

Key Responsibilities

1. Fundraising / Donor Engagement

· Partner with ABLE leadership, staff and Board members to develop and implement marketing, communications and fundraising efforts to achieve ABLE’s priorities.

· Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team to build decision-makers, donor, and community engagement to support ABLE’s cause.

· Drive development of all communication and marketing plans from concept to execution.

· Prepare regular updates and reports to Executive Director and Board members.

· Prioritise limited resources for the greatest possible impact and return on investment.

· Drive and cultivate new sources of donorship to expand donor pipelines and support the sustainability of ABLE.

2. Corporate CSR and Volunteer Management

· Explore synergies with key stakeholders and co-develop long-term giving strategies with corporations, partner institutions and foundations.

· Develop and manage key relationships with corporations, partner institutions and foundations.

· Work collaboratively to articulate customised pitches and proposal of programmes to target corporates, foundations and partners.

· Design and direct high-impact community and corporate engagement projects, coordinating the work of other professionals and ensuring programme accountability.

· Project manage partner engagement touchpoints and workplans.

· Lead the development and implementation of plans for acquiring and retaining new volunteers.

3. ABLES’s Awareness and Purpose

· Drive efforts to elevate ABLE’s voice and messaging across multiple media platforms and priority audiences.

· Develop and manage budgets, evaluate results, and adapt strategies and tactics where necessary.

· Build a clear outcomes-based communications strategy to foster and maintain strong connections with external and internal stakeholders to ABLE’s mission and purpose.

· Identify solutions to help ABLE respond to and/or pre-empt any reputational issues that may arise utilizing effective communications and marketing strategies.

· Identify opportunities for leveraging multipliers networks and resources for speaking opportunities and publicity.

Requirements

· Degree from an accredited tertiary institution, or comparable qualification.

· At least 8-12 years in a leadership role in sales & marketing, business development, front-facing client relations role.

· Results-driven team player, with experience working with a high degree of independence in time-sensitive environment.

· Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse audiences, senior corporate leaders, grant makers and HNWIs.

· Familiarity with Corporate CSR/Philanthropic arm, foundations, social services, non-profit sector would be advantageous.

· Experience managing a team, cultivating teamwork, providing opportunities for growth of team members, and fostering an environment where creativity and innovative thinking thrive.

· Experience developing innovative projects or programmes including financial responsibility and measuring results of strategic plans and programmes.

· Experience delivering results with limited resources.

· High level of emotional intelligence, executive presence and influencing skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong sense of confidentiality; agile and flexible.

· Ability to analyse and synthesise information towards a longer-term objective.

The Communications & Advocacy Executive will plan and execute ABLE & ABLESEAS overall communication strategy including internal communications and marketing ABLE & ABLESEAS positioning to stakeholders. The role will also be responsible for managing ABLE’s Volunteer programme.

Responsibilities:

Communications & PR:

1. Review and support corporate marketing / event publicity and branding collaterals to ensure adherence to ABLE & ABLESEAS corporate identity and branding standards, and alignment with corporate mission and messages.

2. Develop and execute effective digital, web and social media marketing and communication efforts.

3. Manage and update corporate website and social media platforms including regular social listening (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) and provide analysis.

4. Support production of multi-channel corporate marketing / event publicity and branding collaterals including but not limited to information booklets, brochures, posters, banners, presentations and videos.

5. Develop compelling narratives, creatives and engaging content of ABLE clients and caregivers that reinforce ABLE & ABLESEAS mission, purpose and beliefs.

6. Manage and develop a robust content calendar aligned with key church and social services themes as well as national social services events.

7. PR & Media management; organise media interviews and press events; write press releases; compile commentaries and supporting op-eds that articulate ABLE & ABLESEAS respective positions on acquired physical disabilities.

8. Write and organise reports/documents such as annual report; write and create presentation decks.

9. Conduct regular post campaign analysis and evaluation, track and measure effectiveness of campaigns with continual refinement of approach and strategy.

10. Collaborate with other teams in employee engagement and culture building efforts such as organising Townhall and employee meetings.

11. Publish monthly employee newsletter as part of employee engagement.

12. Provide assistance and coordinate corporate functions, events, and activities by providing social media support and photography support at events.

Volunteer Management:

1. Explore, plan and manage all publicity and outreach efforts for volunteer recruitment and engagement initiatives.

2. Screen, plan and coordinate volunteer orientation, including aligning with ABLE’s Integrated Services professionals on client care requirements.

3. Work closely with ABLE’s Corporate Programmes as well as Integrated Services Programmes teams in support of projects for ABLE’s clients and caregivers.

4. Conduct volunteer appreciation and engagement programmes to foster and strengthen ABLE’s pool of volunteers.

5. Manage the volunteer database including ensuring that the Volunteer Management System (VMS) is up-to-date.

6. Prepare timely reports and analysis on volunteer deployment and participation in ABLE’s initiatives.

Any other duties as assigned by the Community Engagement & Partnerships Manager.

Requirements:

o At least 2-3 years of experience in a marketing / communications role.

o Diploma/ Degree in Mass Communications/Marketing/Business Administration or related field.

o Knowledge and understanding of communication practices and techniques including in social media, such as but not limited to Facebook/Instagram/LinkedIn.

o Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

o Possess strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.

o Meticulous with an eye for details, sensitive to typography, colour and design trend in collateral productions.

o Skills in visual, video editing and photography will be an advantage.

o Proficient in MS Office Applications and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

o Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, proactive, enthusiastic, self-motived and result oriented.

o Possess problem solving skills.

o Adaptable team player, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

o Possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage cross-functionally and handle multiple tasks.

o Growth mindset, willingness to learn and open to new ways of doing things.

o Experience in Social Services sector, volunteer management will be an advantage.
