Position Overview
Advanced Flavors & Fragrances is seeking an innovative and experienced Food/Application Technologist (Flavors). This critical role will be central to our dynamic team, focusing on the application of flavors in customer products. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of scientific knowledge and creative flair to our fast-paced and evolving environment, contributing significantly to our growth.
Key Responsibilities
Flavor Application Development
- Design and implement applications for flavors to align with customer needs and product specifications.
- Collaborate with the R&D team and clients to ensure optimal product-usage fit.
Quality Control and Assurance
- Conduct rigorous QC/QA processes to maintain the highest standards of flavor quality and safety.
Testing and Evaluation
- Perform detailed tests and evaluations of flavors in various applications.
- Prepare application samples for sensory testing and evaluation by the team.
- Manage raw materials, laboratory supplies and housekeeping.
Customer-Centric Flavor Selection
- Choose and recommend flavors for application in customer samples, ensuring suitability and appeal.
Team Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Maintain effective communication with team members and clients.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- A degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field is preferred.
Experience and Skills
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in the Flavors industry.
- Strong sensory skills to evaluate and select appropriate flavors.
- Results-oriented and customer-centric work ethic.
- Excellent team collaboration and communication abilities
