Job Description
The Securities & Derivative Analyst 1 is an entry level position responsible for
providing operations support services for trades reconciliation/settlement and share transfer related process. The overall objective of this role is to assist in the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide back office functions support such as Trade Settlement, Shares Transfer / Scrip Conversion, and Equity Linked Notes settlement.
- Perform internal Bank Accounts reconciliation.
- Perform investigation for daily and monthly positions holdings reconciliation.
- Perform daily check for trade settlement related reports.
- Timely handling of transactions, meeting and exceeding the Service expectation with internal and external clients.
- Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to resolve complex problems.
- Uses professional judgment, discretion, and business expertise to resolve varied and complex issues that have notable impact on the business.
- Participating in Risk & Control functions such as Continuity of Business and etc.
- Coordinate transaction processing issues to the appropriate department and collaborate on a solution
- Monitor work progression ensuring completion of assignments by requested due date
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Provide Ops support during Singapore Public Holiday.
- Ad-hoc duties as and when needed.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience of Trade settlements, Equity Linked Notes, Shares Transfer / Scrip Conversions for Equities will be added advantage.
- Fundamental understanding of Wealth/Investment products, accounting and regulatory policies
- Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment
- The incumbent should be a dynamic, positive and resourceful individual.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
- Self-motivated and detail oriented
- Responsible, organized and able to multitask
- Good team player
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Proven organization and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting or Finance
