We are a modern Asian restaurant looking for a well-organised and committed dishwasher to join our team! Our culinary environment is fast-paced and we expect you to be able to work as part of a team. Your main duties will include rinsing, racking, washing, and properly storing dishes both in the dishwasher area and sinks, as well as keeping the floors, general kitchen and bar areas clean and presentable at all time.

We hope to employ a person with excellent time management and communication skills. Your work will be critical in providing our guests with clean, sanitary glassware, plateware and silverware, and keeping the kitchen stocked with proper cooking utensils.

Salary: S$3,500 - $3,800 depending on work experience

Responsibilities:

• Consistently ensure the availability of clean dishes by washing flatware, dishes, pans, and pots
• Cleaning kitchen appliances and machines
• Helping other team members to unload and store deliveries
• Assist other staff members with tasks when the need arises
• Adhere to food safety procedures and regulations
• Taking out the trash and recyclables

Requirements:

• Proficient knowledge of product storage, rotation and usage

We are a modern Asian restaurant looking for an experienced and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our team!

You will be responsible for assisting the head chef in all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation. You will also be responsible for supervising and training other kitchen staff, as well as maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a professional restaurant kitchen, able to work well under pressure, and have excellent time management and organisational skills.

*Previous experience with Japanese cuisine would be advantageous.

Salary: S$3,600 - $4,000 depending on work experience

Responsibilities:

• Leads kitchen team in chef's absence
• Provides guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating
• Oversees and organizes kitchen stock and ingredients
• Keeps cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours
• Helps train new kitchen employees to restaurant and kitchen standards
• Perform other administrative tasks as will be communicated by superiors
• Supervises all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards
• Works with head chef to maintain kitchen organisation, staff ability, and training opportunities
• Communicates well with members of staff in other areas of the business, including managers and front of house teams
• Verifies that food storage units all meet standards and are consistently well-managed
• Assists head chef with menu creation
• Coordinates with restaurant management team on supply ordering, budget, and kitchen efficiency and staffing

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in a professional kitchen
• Knowledge of applicable safety and sanitation procedures
• Knowledge of food cost, inventory management and purchasing
• Ability to work well under pressure
