Key responsibilities:
Strategic sales and marketing
- Proactively identify and pursue sales opportunities to promote Maxwell Chambers’ services to potential users, including law firms, corporations, arbitration institutions, and other stakeholders.
- Work closely with the marketing team to create impactful sales collateral and promotional materials.
- Maintain and expand Maxwell Chambers’ client base through effective lead generation and relationship management.
Thought leadership and research
- Conduct research and analysis of trends in international arbitration and the global legal services market to identify new opportunities for growth.
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives by preparing articles, presentations, and materials for academic and professional publications.
- Collaborate on the creation of insights that highlight Maxwell Chambers’ leadership in the industry.
Business development and stakeholder engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including clients, law firms, arbitration institutions, and professional networks.
- Represent Maxwell Chambers at industry events, conferences, and seminars, both locally and internationally, to enhance brand awareness and generate leads.
- Coordinate with the marketing and events team to ensure a seamless integration of sales efforts with outreach and engagement initiatives.
Event planning and programming
- Collaborate on event programming to ensure alignment with Maxwell Chambers’ strategic objectives and audience needs.
Legal and corporate communications
- Oversee internal and external corporate communications, including preparing press releases and handling media relations.
Data and market insights
- Evaluate data and statistical trends to inform sales and marketing strategies.
- Use data-driven insights to measure the success of initiatives and refine approaches for better outcomes.
Flexibility and other responsibilities
- Perform other duties or projects assigned by the Chief Strategy Officer.
Qualifications and experience:
- A Law Degree (LLB or equivalent); experience in international arbitration is advantageous.
- Minimum of 2 years or equivalent relevant legal work experience.
- Proven experience in sales, marketing, and business development, preferably in the legal or professional services sector.
- Strong understanding of policy, research, and market trends, especially in dispute resolution and arbitration.
- Data analysis and statistical skills to evaluate trends and inform strategic decisions.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Proactive and organized, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
