Our client is seeking a Regulatory Reporting Analyst (Insurance Finance), a financial services institution with 40+ million customers. This role will manage regulatory reporting which involves collaboration with diverse internal and external stakeholders, including the CFO, actuarial teams, local and regional counterparts, and representatives from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). The role ensures compliance with rigorous reporting standards and deadlines set by Head Office and MAS.
This position offers a valuable opportunity for professional growth, providing insights into the insurance finance regulatory landscape in Singapore. The successful candidate will gain comprehensive exposure to business processes and controls, with a focus on First Line of Defense activities.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee month-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal preparation, and high-level financial analysis.
- Contribute to the accurate and timely submission of regulatory reports, such as MAS returns and solvency calculations.
- Support external audit activities by coordinating audit requirements, preparing financial statements, and reviewing regulatory filings.
- Assist the investment function with accounting and reporting tasks as needed.
- Implement and maintain robust end-user controls.
- Ensure data integrity in the general ledger through collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Engage with Group, Regional, and other teams including participation in change management initiatives.
- Perform ad hoc and administrative tasks related to investment accounting and reporting.
- Support Chart of Accounts maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 4-5 years of strong finance background, with a focus on financial reporting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of MAS regulations.
- Proficiency in handling large data sets.
- Familiarity with internal risk management frameworks, including operational risk policies and SOX requirements.
- In-depth understanding of the regulatory environment within financial services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to evaluate information critically and reach consensus.
- Effective multitasking and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to meet competing deadlines.
