Job Purpose
- Support Head (Kitchen) in overseeing the operations of 1 Institutional Kitchen in meals productions, ensuring timely delivery, food safety and quality standards.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the overall management of 1 Institutional Kitchen, ensuring service levels are being met.
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of meals according to dietary requirements and food hygiene standards.
- Ensure strict compliance of all relevant food and workplace safety regulations, including follow up on audit recommendations.
- Co-manage a team of workers and vendors to ensure smooth running of operations.
- Work with the team and various stakeholders to optimize workers’ productivity and morale.
- Keep abreast of changes in the food industry, i.e. food safety management, SFA regulations, industry best practices.
- Execute contingency plans when required.
- Ensure compliance to risk measures from the risk management framework.

Requirements
(Minimum education and experience profile required by the jobholder to perform the job).
Education
- Diploma or professional qualifications in Food & Beverage or Manufacturing Operations.
Experience
- Relevant working experience in a food establishment.
- Candidate with institutional catering experience is preferred.
Skills
- Details oriented with good organization skills.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Good knowledge of food handling, food safety and hygiene standards
-Proficient in Microsoft Office.
