SELECTION CRITERIA

-Minimum 3 year of teaching experience in elementary and secondary school or equivalent

-Experience in tutorial centers for primary and secondary students.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leading one-on-one or small group lessons.

• Provide necessary supervision and consultation with students
• Design learning goals for students
• Assist students with homework, test preparation, and academic lessons
• Help students to improve their academic performance and understand the key concepts of their lessons.
• Develop and provide materials to supplement classroom lessons, including study guides
• Conduct practice test to track progress, identify areas for improvement.
• Give advice and feedback about students’ performance to students, parents, and guardians.

Responsibilities

• Assess and provide individualized Speech Therapy intervention for children with speech and language challenges (e.g. speech delays, speech sound disorders, feeding/ swallowing disorders, echolalia, stuttering, etc.)
• Conduct group speech and language sessions, if appropriate.
• Establish good therapist - parent relationships through regular feedback and open communication. This includes providing parents and caregivers with updates on the child’s progress and relevant home strategies and recommendations after each session with the child.
• Be proactive in keeping abreast of developments in the field of Pediatric Speech Therapy.
• Work with child psychologists, occupational therapists, educational therapists and/or early intervention teachers.

Requirements

• Trained in min. Bachelor or Master degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Therapy
• Possess at least 2 years’ experience as an Speech Therapist
• Full registration with Allied Health Professions Council
• Passion and heart to help the children
• Excellent communications/ interpersonal skills and a team player

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Head of Teaching and Curriculum, you will design, develop and implement high-quality enrichment programmes that meet the learning needs of children. You will also be expected to take on teaching duties.

Job Role & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the design, research, development, and production of high-quality lesson materials for children that are in line with EtonHouse's teaching philosophy
• Work with Head of Teaching and Curriculum to ensure that curriculum is aligned with MOE's learning goals
• Create weekly lesson plans consisting of student worksheets and teacher resources
• Work with teachers to implement curriculum
• Teach, coach, and support children; nurturing their enthusiasm towards learning
• Assess work, provide appropriate feedback and track the progress of children
• Work collaboratively with parents to ensure that children are supported in their learning journeys
• Build strong relationships with parents through close communication
• Required to work 40 hours per week, Wednesday - Sunday

• At least five years of relevant teaching or writing experience, with a strong professional track record
• Candidates with more than eight years of experience will be considered for the Senior Teaching and Curriculum Specialist position
