Overview

Key Responsibilities:

• Month-End Close Management: Lead and manage the month-end close process, reviewing full legal entity transactions, including accounts payable, general ledger, P&L, balance sheet, accruals, and flux analysis for Asia Pacific countries.
• Financial Reporting: Ensure the timely preparation of reporting packages and financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and Local GAAP.

Qualifications:

• 10-15 years of experience, with at least 4 years in a Big 4 audit firm and at least 5 years in general accounting and FP&A in a complex, multi-country global organization.
• Experience managing internal and outsourced teams.
• Strong understanding of accounting outcomes and ability to explain accounting treatment.
• Proficiency in US GAAP and Local GAAP, with experience in preparing financial statements.
• Knowledge of tax compliance and familiarity with local tax laws and statutory requirements in Asia Pacific countries.

Job Scope

Under the general guidance of the Director of Finance, you oversee and direct all aspects of the finance function, including the accounting operation, financial reporting, managing relationships with lenders and compliance with tax and other governmental authorities.

Reports directly to the Director of Finance on all day-to-day operational matters affecting the hotel, and directly to the Director of Finance on all finance matters.

Essential Responsibilities

• Supervises the accounting department of the Hotel
• Directs the accounting departments of the hotels to ensure strong accounting procedures and controls are in place, and financial reporting is timely, reliable and accurate.
• Responsible for all staffing matters for the finance function including recruitment, training and counseling of employees.
• Oversees hotel accounting systems and ensures full use is made of system capabilities.

• Provides financial support to the Director of Finance/GM and the hotel Executive Committee, including periodic reporting, financial analysis, forecasts etc.

• Project Controlling, which includes attending project reviews, EAC/ETC reviews, provide hedging requirement for projects, ensuring healthy cash flow status of projects and consolidation of financial status of multi-entity projects for review.
• Perform monthly P&L closing activities by validating SAP closing data for project revenue, cost of sales, contract variances, G&A expenses and overheads.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree preferably in Accountancy/ Finance, CPA/CA would be advantageous
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project accounting position with budgeting and analytical responsibilities
• Knowledge / experience with SAP will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, cost accounting, budgeting and cost control principles
• Ability to interpret and evaluate complex financial information through critical thinking
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point and Access) is mandatory

What a Senior Financial Analyst does at Visa:

• Support the budgeting, forecasting and multi year planning process for the Business Function teams in AP. Provide guidance to Business Functions to achieve realistic and timely forecasts. Support the business and finance teams in the preparation of budget and forecast reports to support management review of financial outcomes
