• In the absence of the Pastry Chef/Pastry sous chef take full responsibility for the running of the kitchen.
• Assist in the employment and retention of all staff.
• Assist in the maintenance of company paperwork.
• Assist in maintaining budgets and cost throughout all of the kitchens.
• Assist and supervise the agreed standard of food service during shift.
• Liaise and co-operate effectively with all other associated members of staff.
• Ensure all relevant food controls and correct temperatures are logged and adhered to at all time.
• Ensure the agreed standards of pastry preparation and presentation are adhered to at all times.
• To provide a friendly, courteous, quick, efficient and professional service at all times.
• Be aware of all relevant food suppliers and their products. Be in charge of ordering.
• o assist in the prevention of pilferage from the dry stores and refrigeration within the department. Control wastage by maintaining the correct stock levels and rotation from dry stores and avoid the over production of food and mis en place.
• To be aware of the required food cost percentages as set down by the budget and to assist in the supervising and running of the department within these guidelines at all times.
• To assist other sections of the kitchen in the production and service of food or the cleaning down of the section as and when required due to the workload.
• To ensure all working areas of the kitchen, dry stores and refrigeration are maintained in a clean and hygienic condition at all times, and especially after your shift has finished.
• To make sure, in conjunction with your team that all section files and recipes are maintained and updated.
• o ensure that all health marks are collected and allocated to the correct administration.
• To provide a clear handover during shift changes
• To ensure all staff within your team are well briefed on the daily responsibilities and are given constant supervision and motivation in all aspects of their work.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Prepare mise en place meticulously before operations and maintain the cleanliness and organization of work areas.

2. Fulfill buffet and runner responsibilities when assigned.

3. Adhere to daily checklists for restaurant cleaning and stocking procedures.

4. Ensure prompt and quality service by serving guests' orders in accordance with operating procedures.

5. Stay informed about daily soups, specials, and featured drinks.

6. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of menu items, including garnishes, condiments, accompaniments, preparation methods, and correct settings.

7. Ensure all food and beverages in good order before serving to guests.

8. Effectively communicate orders to the captain and verify accuracy.

9. Handle equipment with care and diligence.

10. Proactively anticipate and address guests' needs, including understanding regular guests' special requirements and preferences. Follow up with guests regularly for additional orders or requests.

11. Perform any additional duties as assigned from time to time.

12. Possess a minimum of GCE 'N' or 'O' level qualifications.

13. Possess WSQ Food Safety and Hygiene Level 1.

14. Additional certification in existing and/or new Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) is desirable.

15. Previous experience in the Food & Beverage/Hotel industry is advantageous.

16. Exhibit an excellent service attitude.

17. Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

18. Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Your role will involve implementing strategic initiatives, enhancing the Centre's visibility, creating opportunities for students and entrepreneurs, and ensuring meaningful career placements for LSBF students.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and execute a strategic plan aligning with LSBF's overall goals.
• Lead the vision of the Centre to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry collaboration.

Investor and Funding Outreach:

• Identify and build relationships with potential investors, venture capitalists, angel funds, and other funding sources.
• Actively seek opportunities for partnerships and funding supporting the Centre's initiatives.
• Organise pitch sessions and events to connect entrepreneurs with investors.

Program Development:

• Design and implement innovative programs, workshops, and events to nurture entrepreneurship among students and the wider community.
• Collaborate with academic departments to integrate entrepreneurial principles into the curriculum.

Community Engagement:

• Engage with the local business community, startups, and industry leaders to create a supportive ecosystem for entrepreneurship.
• Establish partnerships with external organisations, government bodies, and industry associations to enhance the Centre's network.
• Student Support, Industrial Attachment and Career Placement:
• Provide mentorship and guidance to students interested in entrepreneurship, fostering a culture of creativity and risk-taking.
• Facilitate networking opportunities, internships/industrial attachment, and meaningful career placements for LSBF students.
• Conduct comprehensive job readiness screenings and skills inventory assessments for students and graduates, ensuring a holistic understanding of their capabilities.
• Develop, consolidate, and monitor strategic career plans tailored to the unique needs of each student and graduate, fostering their career growth.
• Provide personalised coaching and guidance to students and graduates through one-on-one sessions or group workshops, focusing on enhancing employability skills such as CV writing, job search techniques, interview preparation, and skills gap training.
• Drive the conceptualisation, support, and execution of projects, workshops, and events aimed at boosting the employability of students and graduates. These initiatives may include career wellness workshops, career fairs, seminars.
• Address students and graduates' needs related to employability aspects, including job applications, introductions to potential employers, networking opportunities, and mentorship matching.
• Conduct relevant surveys and focus group discussions to gather insights into the employability needs of students and graduates, ensuring a data-driven approach.
