At our company, we are committed to becoming the premier, research-intensive biopharmaceutical company and are dedicated to providing leading innovations and solutions for today and the future.
Our Research Scientists are our Inventors. We identify and target steps in disease mechanisms or pathways that could be inhibited or enhanced. Our goal is to isolate a compound that is effective against a disease target. Using innovative thinking, state-of-the-art facilities and robust scientific methodology we collaborate to discover the next medical breakthrough.
We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join our Biomarkers & Data Analytics team at our research laboratory in Singapore. Our team focuses on synergizing medical and disease biology, imaging & omics technology, bigdata, and data science to discover, develop, and deploy novel biomarkers for diseases with critical unmet needs, and to accelerate the discovery and development of new drugs.
In this role, you will utilize artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) and image analysis techniques to develop imaging biomarkers using state-of-the-art medical imaging platforms (e.g., OCT, Fundus, MRI).
This position plays a role in transforming extensive preclinical and clinical imaging data, along with biobank data, into valuable insights that advances our drug discovery efforts. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with experienced scientists, learn from industry leaders, and contribute to impactful projects that have the potential to shape the future of medicine.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Execute routine in vivo ophthalmology and neuroscience image analysis to support drug development pipeline operations.
- Optimize, and troubleshoot the analysis of the in vivo medical images and data to support drug discovery, ensuring timely project execution.
- Proactively contribute to the development of novel imaging biomarkers, including the development of AI/ML-enabled software algorithms for image & data analysis.
- Analyze large datasets from biobanks/cohort studies to advance our understanding of human biology and disease processes.
- Contribute to scientific literature and database searches to help the team develop imaging biomarkers, inform drug development strategies, and generate business insights.
- Maintain data integrity and compliance by managing data lifecycle, accurate record keeping, authoring documentation including image analysis workflows, research reports, project meeting minutes and study logs.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners across multiple sites to enhance AI-based imaging workflows, actively contributing insights and developing automated solutions for imaging biomarker analysis.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on project progress and findings. Attend and potentially present at relevant conferences, demonstrating a commitment to professional growth and knowledge expansion.
- Present findings and insights to the team and stakeholder.
