Your key roles & responsibilities include:
· Enhancing overseas compliance monitoring framework/programme
· Formulating and executing annual monitoring plan to cover all relevant offices and applicable monitoring
themes/elements
· Handling queries from offices and providing assists with proper interpretation and adherence of Japanese laws
and regulations and relevant internal rules that are applicable to the bank and its clients
· Coordinating with HQ relevant departments/sections, and effectively communicating with regional offices’
compliance personnel and management to strengthen the bank’s compliance risk control locally, regionally, and
globally
What you should have:
· A Bachelor’s Degree
· At least 5 years of relevant experience in compliance analysis, planning, relevant rule
implementation/revision/abolition process
· Special knowledge of Japanese laws and regulations, especially the ones applicable to Japanese Financial
Institutions operating overseas
· Good problem-solving skills and the ability to acquire consensus among stakeholders.
· Skills for critical & analytical thinking, articulate documentation, effective communication, relationship building
among others
· Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese are required to read, write, understand documents as
well as communicate in those two languages with Head office in Japan, Singapore branch staff and globally
including our regional branches
· Strong understanding and affiliation to Japanese financial industry with relevant network
