[What the role is]
You will be part of the Planning and Capability Development Department of the Memorial Facilities & Planning Division, which oversees the planning of after-death facilities in Singapore. You will be providing operations planning capability to ensure that the Government after-death facilities are efficiently managed and operated.
[What you will be working on]
You will be responsible for the following:
Lead operations planning including process reviews and land planning workstreams
Carry out reviews relating to department’s operational policies and work processes, as well as IT systems
Drive and implement process reviews and technologies for adoption operationally to enhance productivity, streamline processes and to bring about greater convenience to members of public
Plan and manage end-to-end procurement activities, call new tenders and execute contract variations, ensuring that Government Procurement guidelines are adhered to and value for money purchases are attained.
[What we are looking for]
Able to deal with complexity and ambiguity
Strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skills
Familiar with process improvement methodologies and automation tools (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, Robotic Process Automation)
Experience in procurement, tender calls and presentation will be an advantage; Knowledge in Government Procurement Instruction Manuals is a bonus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time
Self-driven and always ready to strive for improvement
Good interpersonal skills and enjoy working with both internal and external stakeholders
