• Biomedical, 3D Cell Culture segment: Protein isolates, repurposed from food processing wastes, are formulated into Plant Protein Composite (PPC®) bio-ink, the primary component for printing of 3D plant protein scaffolds (e.g. PPC® scaffold) that can be customised to meet growth requirement of diverse range of cells and tissues.

- JOB SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Technical & Operation Specialist reports to the Factory Manager and is responsible for efficiency of manufacturing and overall factory management. He supports supporting day to day manufacturing operation in the Pilot Factory and sales & logistics operation to ensure production efficiency and timely order fulfilment.
Roles & Responsibilities
The Technical & Operation Specialist supports the Factory Manager in overall factory management from production to order fulfilment, including manufacturing operation, processes optimization, facility & machinery maintenance, factory HR/administration and sales & orders fulfilment.
Specific tasks include:
Technical Support
- Manufacture of functional ingredients, premixes and functional food.
- Manufacturing process optimization
- Facility management including all needed certification and licences
- Planning of production schedule through coordinating equipment, labour, and material availability.
- Support development of streamlined supply, manufacturing, ordering & delivering process to achieve maximum efficiency when fulfilling customers' orders.
- Troubleshooting of production issues to minimize delays in production.
- Plant machineries procurement & maintenance.
- Upkeeping of production records for traceability
- Practising of strict sanitization and cleaning procedures after each production
- Maintaining the factory’s hygiene and cleanliness at all times.
- Setting up cleaning and the maintenance schedule to ensure machinery/equipment are in
working condition.
- Adhering to safety measures while operating machineries and equipment
- Establish of any new process SOP
- Provide support and coordinate logistic activities
- Perform analytical test and/or research.
- Co-ordinate activities and stakeholders to ensure satisfactory delivery of contract services and in-house development projects.
Operations
- Packing of products, arrangement of logistic for orders fulfilment.
- Support sales operation, logistic Participate in business development, marketing and customers’ acquisition activities.
- Operate business processes and systems (eg. HR, finance, admin) to ensure operational efficiency.
- DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE
Academic Qualifications and Availability
- Polytechnic Diploma in Food Science & Technology/Chemical Engineering/Bioengineering/Chemistry/Bio-Chemistry/or any other engineering discipline.
- Relevant NiTEC training with relevant internship/working experience can be considered.
Skills and Experience
- Good commandment of English.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A resourceful, self-driven team player who is able to work in a highly collaborative, cross-functional working environment.
- Good personality with can do attitude.
- Experience in machineries maintenance.
- Able to trouble shot simple electrical issues.
