Overview:
We are seeking an energetic and organized Shift Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant during designated shifts. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and safety. This role is pivotal in fostering teamwork and motivating staff to exceed performance expectations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Shift Operations:
• Manage the restaurant’s operations during assigned shifts.
• Ensure all opening, mid-shift, and closing duties are completed efficiently.
2. Staff Management:
• Supervise, train, and mentor team members to perform at their best.
• Schedule and delegate tasks to optimize productivity.
• Address and resolve any team conflicts professionally.
3. Customer Service:
• Maintain high standards of hospitality and address customer inquiries or complaints promptly.
• Oversee the dining area to ensure a positive guest experience.
4. Inventory and Supplies:
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the kitchen and suppliers to ensure stock availability.
• Minimize waste by adhering to portion controls and reducing unnecessary costs.
5. Health and Safety Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Conduct routine inspections of food preparation and service areas.
6. Financial Responsibilities:
• Assist with daily cash handling, including closing tills and preparing shift reports.
• Monitor labor and operational costs during shifts to ensure profitability.
Requirements
1. Experience and Skills:
• Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry (2+ years preferred).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Customer service-oriented with problem-solving abilities.
2. Technical Knowledge:
• Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems and basic financial processes.
• Understanding of food safety regulations and certifications (e.g., Food Handler’s License or equivalent).
3. Personal Attributes:
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.

4. Education:
