To safeguard and promote SFA’s objectives on food security, food safety, and agri-trade through international engagement at multi-lateral and bilateral platforms. Seek to profile Singapore’s expertise in urban food solutions and support efforts to bring these solutions overseas.
Duties/Responsibilities
You will be part of a dynamic team with responsibilities to:
• Formulate strategies and policy positions on bilateral, regional and international food-related issues in support of SFA’s objectives
• Build and maintain SFA’s relationships with foreign counterparts and stakeholders
• Monitor and assess developments in countries, international organisations and non-governmental organisations on food-related issues
• Provide updates on international engagements, including preparing background papers and other relevant material
• Facilitate meetings and visits by foreign VIPs
• Attend relevant bilateral, regional and international meetings
Requirements
• 3-5 years of related work experience
• Strong analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Conscientious and adaptable to different work settings
• Possess initiative and able to work independently; but also able to work collaboratively in teams
• A strong command of the English language
• Open to learning new skills
• Willingness to travel
