Job Description:
The candidate is expected to be adept at studying recipes and gathering all necessary ingredients required for preparing various dishes. Additionally, they must maintain the cleanliness of the food preparation area and adhere strictly to Food & Beverage safety and hygiene, as well as Workplace Safety & Health policies and procedures. It is crucial that the chef ensures consistency in food quality, presentation, and standards. The role also involves the preparation and cooking of food, fulfilling the establishment's specific culinary standards.
Chef Responsibilities:
· Ensure all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner.
· Plan menus considering budget and availability of seasonal ingredients.
· Oversee all kitchen operations.
· Coordinate kitchen staff and assist as needed.
· Train staff in preparation and cooking of menu items.
· Take stock of ingredients and equipment; place orders to replenish stock.
· Enforce safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
· Create new recipes to refresh the menu.
· Stay updated with industry trends.
· Receive feedback and make necessary improvements.
· Manage food costing and inventory.
· Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance.
· Ensure compliance with applicable health codes and regulations.
· Establish maintenance and cleaning schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas.
Chef Requirements:
· Culinary school degree/diploma.
· Past experience as a working chef.
· Advanced knowledge of the culinary arts.
· Perfectionism in sanitation and quality control.
· Expert multitasking ability.
· Great leadership and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to run stocktaking and place orders for resupply.
· Exemplary work ethic in a high-pressure environment.
· Passion and pride for delighting people with food.
Working hour:
· 6days(Monday to Saturday), 10hrs per day (630am-430pm).
