We are seeking a dedicated Electrical and Electronics Engineer to join our team. As a vital member of our team, you will be involved in the design, development, and testing of electrical and electronic systems for medical devices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical and electronic engineering principles, proficiency in electrical design tools, and knowledge of medical device regulations (such as ISO 13485). Roles and Responsibilities
- Support design of electrical and electronic systems, and components considering factors such as performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Selecting and sourcing engineering components and liaising with purchasers, contractors, or suppliers.
- Conducting testing, verification, and validation activities for electrical and electronic systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and performance requirements.
- Participating in the development and assembly of prototypes, conducting testing and evaluation to validate design concepts and identify areas for improvement.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including design specifications, test protocols, and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements such as ISO 13485.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, scientists, quality, and regulatory personnel to achieve project objectives.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in designing electrical systems, including schematic design, component selection, and ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
- Hands-on experience with micro-controllers/processors and peripheral circuits.
- Hands-on experience with PCB design, wiring, and circuit simulation.
- Experience with biomedical device development is a plus.
- Good understanding of testing and validation processes for electrical and electronic systems, including test plan development, test execution, and documentation.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and requirements, such as ISO 13485 and FDA regulations for medical devices.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical and electronic issues that arise during the product development lifecycle.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve technical challenges, analyse data, and make informed engineering decisions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners.evice regulations (such as ISO 13485).
