Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide medical leadership and advisory to Group and LBUs including driving quality assurance standards and developing LBU medical leadership and health expertise
- Represent AIA Group in external healthcare forums to promote AIA and seek to introduce international healthcare standard process to AIA
- Partner with Group Transactions on strategic investment initiative due diligences
- Collaborate with LBU’s and ensure delivery of implementation of healthcare strategy in country in line with agreed implementation plans and achievements
- Support post-acquisition integration programmes
- Establish medical governance framework, and handle overall governance – policies, standards and guidelines
- Develop provision quality assurance standards on clinic operations incl. facility management, patient journey management, procurement of third-party services
- Champion clinical quality and customer advocacy in health outcomes, define and manage brand reputation and quality assurance framework in health services and support LBUs in their delivery
- Lead medical government and external affairs, including public policy & regulatory
- SME for medical under-writing standards advisory to Group Operations and LBUs
- Mentor, supervise and develop healthcare team and to lead by example
- Uplift Regional Capability Development; deliver LBU ExCo management education programme on healthcare and ensure CPD programme is in place for all health-related staff across the region
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Strong commercial Healthcare expertise with particular emphasis on medical management/claims control experience, insurance proposition, direct health provider/services management experience and experience in vertical integration between payors and providers, ideally in Asia;
- 20+ years-experience working within the healthcare industry across health insurance and health provision at senior management positions inclusive of having a led a business unit.
- Academic background in healthcare for which Degrees or master’s degree or equivalent experience in relevant discipline(s)
- Previous roles/training in the delivery of healthcare services (e.g., a qualified medical practitioner)
- Stays up to date on latest developments in healthcare (both regulatory and commercial) to ensure AIA develops and retains an innovative, patient centered, differentiated medical management capabilities.

- Excellent presentation skills with the talent to present convincingly and influence diverse audiences on business initiatives and strategies
