To provide high quality Occupational Therapy and intervention to a paediatric population to reach their maximum potential and within a transdisciplinary framework with other allied health colleagues.
Roles & Responsibilities
Clinician
· Independently assess and identify the individual needs of clients and formulate, develop and implement appropriate individualised/ group therapy programmes
· Apply paediatric and early intervention evidence-based practices in the intervention programme for clients
· Providing ongoing therapy to paediatric population
· Targeting goals for intervention and preparing an intervention plan
· Providing guidance to parents how to handle the child and continue build up skills
· Liaise and work with teachers, parents and other stakeholders involved
· Provide consultation and training to teachers, parents and other stakeholders
Management
· Working with the clinic to develop our clinical services
· Supervise junior Occupational Therapists
· Recruitment, Retention and Policy
Required Qualifications and Experience
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy recognised by Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC)
· Full registration with Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) held for at least 5 years
· Minimum of 3 years of paediatric working experience while holding full registration
· Supervisory experience will be favourably looked upon
· Experienced and have a passion for helping children with special needs
