Job Description:
- Promote a zero-accident culture within the company to achieve the group’s EHS KPI targets.
- Ensure compliance with Corporate EHS Policy by implementing actions to maintain and improve the Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) management system.
- Review statutory updates, identify relevant EHS requirements, and prepare procedures to ensure compliance with new regulatory requirements.
- Lead and facilitate internal and external audits/surveys related to compliance, EHS, and sustainability.
- Organize and lead regular EHS inspections, meetings, and monitoring of corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure all incidents, accidents, and near-misses are reported immediately, formally investigated, and maintain thorough records of investigations.
- Plan and implement EHS training programs to enhance safety awareness.
- Collaborate with all departments, clients, and vendors/contractors to provide advice on EHS-related matters.
- Work with operations teams, vendors, and contractors to inspect machines, equipment, and processes for accident prevention. Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments.
- Educate and train employees to prioritize safety and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage the submission and approval of EHS licenses and permits required for factory.
Job Requirements:
- Professional qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, or Environmental Engineering-related programs.
- Minimum 10 years of EHS experience in the Singapore construction industry, with experience in LTA projects preferred.
- MOM-registered WSHO and NEA-registered ECO certifications required.
- Strong knowledge of EHS policies and experience in developing new corporate policies.
- Completion of Leadership & People Management courses is an advantage.
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills in managing site personnel, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Singapore statutory and legal SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) requirements.
- Ability to present a professional image and act in the company’s best interest.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across all departments and functions.
