What you will do
You are responsible for administering the Medi Minder (MM) service for the purpose of providing respite care to families supported in Star PALS (Paediatric Advanced Life Support). You will participate in all relevant MM activities including performing duties as a MM. The scope of work will generally encompass the following duties:
- Organise and coordinate MM training programme
- Make home visits with nurses to introduce the service and build rapport with the families
- Educate MMs and patients’ families in basic nursing care such as infection control, comfort measures, mouth and skin care (Preferred)
- Organise MM recruitment, coordinate and participate in interviewing and selecting MM candidates
- Brief and debrief MMs before and after each assignment and conduct regular refresher/ debrief meetings
- Attend regular Star PALS team meetings for clinical and psychosocial updates
- Support events which involve MMs e.g. family outings during and after office hours
Who you are
- Diploma (Nursing is advantageous)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good multi-tasking and time management skills
- Able to work efficiently in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Remuneration will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
