Role and Responsibilities:

The incumbent will be responsible for the following:

• Organise and provide secretariat support to clinical quality assurance committees, workgroups and associated meetings.
• Work with relevant stakeholders in areas of quality assurance, patient safety, continual improvement, and risk management.
• Plan, develop and implement quality improvement projects.
• Assist with other clinical governance functions such as preparation of reports and analysis.
• Serve as a resource-person and maintain positive relationships with doctors, nurses, allied health and administrative colleagues.
• Support in the licensing of hospital, internal audits, incident management and clinical quality records review programme.
• Undertake any other tasks and duties as assigned by the Manager or Head of Department

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Life / Pharmaceutical Sciences, Healthcare Administration / Management, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmacy, Nursing; or Occupational, Physio or Speech therapy.
• Preferably 3 to 4 years of healthcare experience. Postgraduates with less experience welcomed to apply.
• Experience in healthcare administration, clinical quality (e.g. JCI, LEAN, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, Plan-Do-Check-Act, or other quality improvement methodologies) and / or risk management will be of added advantage.
• Good PC skills and proficient in MS Office applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Meticulous with strong problem-solving, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Positive work attitude and ability to work with all levels of staff and diverse stakeholders in both independent and collaborative work environments.
• Self-motivated; able to multi-task, work independently, and produce well written reports, papers, minutes, etc.

Key responsibilities:

· Based on an in-depth understanding of Lucence's technology and product portfolio and medical science, interpreting genomic alterations in appropriate clinical contexts and reporting (for both clinical and research samples) results accurately and timely following established procedures.

· Working closely with the Medical Data Science team in the curation and maintenance of database - evaluating scientific publications/clinical studies and integrating functional effects of genomic variants and their associated diseases using standard terminologies and established guidelines.

· Writing, maintaining, and updating workflows and protocols for clinical reporting pipeline.

· Participating in research-oriented projects for clinical validation of tests (in collaboration with external organizations).

· Participating in internal and external quality assurance programs.

· Performing other relevant duties as assigned.

To be a good fit for this role, you would have:

• At least a degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Biomedical Science, Life Sciences or its equivalent.

• Familiarity/good understanding in molecular techniques, genetics and NGS applications. Prior experience in research/clinical, in the field of cancer biology/genetics is a plus.

• Good communication and presentation skills and an ability to write short summary reports.

• The ability to work independently as well as in a team.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Flexibility in working on weekends, public holidays, from 8 am to 6 pm, based on staff rosters.

• Strong self-motivation, resilience, adaptability, and a keen interest in learning.

• COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement: Fully Vaccinated.

The following will also be a plus:

• Knowledge in genomic medicine and liquid biopsy; and

• Fluency in variant annotation and interpretation and use of genome databases such as COSMIC, ClinVar, Varsome, Ensembl and OncoKB; and

• Ability to interpret genomic data in patient- and treatment-specific contexts following established procedures.

You are part of the Quality Management team specialised in managing the Laboratory Quality System. This includes working with the laboratory management and all lab sections on quality matters. You will assist the Quality Manager to manage document control, accreditation compliances, and submission of quality reports for accreditation and for hospital management. You will be involved in various audits as well as documentation of audit reports and follow-ups. Other duties include preparation for quality management reviews, external quality assurance reviews, customer service surveys, follow-up of risk management and root cause analysis. You are expected to work amicably with other departments in hospital improvement projects.

Requirements:

• PhD, MSc or Degree in Science discipline
• Candidate with relevant experiences in managing quality management system is preferred
• Experience in organising / participation in College of American Pathologists (CAP) and/or Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) accreditation is advantageous
