Description:
- Supervise the safe execution of the works and maintain excellent site safety and housekeeping records;
- Check all relevant drawings and method statements to ensure that works are planned and carried out with compliance to safety regulations as stipulated by the Ministry of Manpower;
- Be part of the project's Safety Management Committee to review Contractor’s safety policies and procedures;
- Work with CAG and Contractor to review the risk assessment during each phase of construction and present them to CAG’s Safety Action Group to ensure that measures to be taken in the approved risk assessment are implemented on site;
- Conduct investigation on all safety infringement or accident on site and prepare safety reports;
- Ensure that all site excavation and hot works are executed with approved permits and full-time supervision. To be familiar with the Airport Operational and Safety (AOS) Requirements and ensure contractors maintain safety, cleanliness and tidiness of the site;
- Be the key person representing CAG in handling all safety and housekeeping issues;
- Advise CAG on the contractor’s emergency response plan and ensure that the plan is exercised in accordance to approved response plan;
- Assist CAG on the safe mitigation of risk compiled by the contractors for their works;
- Assist CAG to inspect the worksite for safety infringement according to WSH Act and AOS;
- Assist CAG to investigate outbreaks of infectious, vector borne or foodborne diseases on the construction site;
- Assist CAG to inspect the contractor’s work site on the environmental and health aspects;
- Attend E&D Safety Working Committee Meeting (SWC) to be updated on the latest safety occurrence in Changi Airport and the Contractor's monthly safety meetings;
- Ensure that all work activities are conned within worksite and proper barrier, marker board and lights are present at all time to deter unauthorised movement of Contractor;
- Check and ensure that the Contractor and the Contractor’s Safety Team adhere to all the necessary safety requirements and procedures;
- Assist CAG to review Contractor’s safety policies and procedures regularly;
Requirement:
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience as a WSHC, of which at least three (3) years shall be in supervision of works similar in nature to major construction work.
- Possess a WSQ Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B) or equivalent;
- Certification in “Develop a Risk Management Implementation Plan (bizSAFE Level 2)” or equivalent;
- Occupational First Aid;
- Preferably with airside experience for maintenance/ construction works; and
- Preferably Possess a valid Class 3 (preferably manual gear) Singapore state driving license.
